The Londoner - Restaurant/pub

I can recommend one pub/restaurant in Taichung called The Londoner.

They show all sporting events & have live bands on Fridays.

There menu is a decent mix from a number of countries & a wide range of drinks.

Sat & Sun they open at 12pm for a brunch which I certainly recommed.

The Londoner. 68 Kung Yi Road has a great breakfast. Sat & Sun 12pm-5pm. For $250 you can choose from 10 items and includes coffee & juice.

Must be good as theres alot of people there.

Can recommed one bar in Taichung. It’s The Londoner. 68 Kung Yi Road.

They have an outdoor terrace, indoor seating with sofas & a large bar.

There munu is quite good and serve a traditional English breakfast on Sat & Sun from 12pm-5pm.

They have live bands on Fridays & live sporting broadcasts.

The staff are friendly and are will to help with your needs.

I can second all the above. Excellent place to hang out.

Had many a pleasant sessions there.

Landlord is a cool guy from the U.K.

They have some wicked parties there, get on there mailing list.

By the way, it’s got the best location in Taichung for a bar.

Cannot fault the place.

Fish and Chips?

Is that the Frog side of Hwa Mei or the other side?

Frog side: other side of John Gan Road - dont hold me to the spelling

So on the French Side? :sunglasses:

Why did The Londoner move? Just wondering.

I have been to the new Londoner a couple of times. The stella in there is the business! The upstairs is spacious, and they have a free pool table too. I also recommend their pizza! Oh yeah, and they have the sport on a big screen. Perfect! Stella and the footy.

So on the French Side? :sunglasses:[/quote] I believe you’d be right even though I know you’re joking… La Bodega (the Spanish restaurant is French owned and on that side as is Geant and quite a few Carrefours). The Frog pubs are Mexican themed(I think) bars and I think are now mostly Taiwanese owned.

The contract was finished and the landlord would’nt re-new it as he lost all his businesses inside the building since we opened. Our place covered the entrance. Thus he’s knocked the inside of the bar down and made a new entrance. :loco:

sneakly bit of advertising of there Swiss man - (your picture)
