The narratives about Trump thread

Anyway, all thats old news, if something comes along it will be unrelated. Back to being Trump related.

FBI lawyer James Baker was being interviewed behind closed doors, by the looks on a couple of Republicans they looked like the cat that got the cream.

Interesting clip from around 4 min mark.

This McCarthyism on the left will really come back and bite the Dims in the ass in November. I think they will retain both the House and Senate and rightly so. One high profile race I see going to the Dems though – Texas. I see Beto defeating Cruz. As someone who comes from an 5th Generation Alberta family (the Texas of Canada), Beto comes across as more Texan (despite his politics not being so!).

I was reading an article suggesting that we’ll be soon moving from “mah russia” to “mah saudi arabia”. It will go along the lines of:

CNN & friends:“The journalist was clearly killed by the saudis, trump must punish them!”
Trump:“Where’s the proof, though?”
CNN & friends:“omg trump is a saudi puppet, look at all these occasions in the past where he dealt with the saudis”

In the US it will work as a copy/paste of the russian nonsense to clickbait views and create some outrage, and in saudi arabia it will be used to throw dirt at the prince. It will be interesting to see if this turns out to be correct.

You’re a few days too late. This has already happened. Gotta keep up with the news cycle!

I mean on the same scale as the russian nonsense, with 24/7 specials, investigations, calls for impeachment etc etc, so not just the background noise of the last few days.

This may be a little trickier to pull off, as every administration has kissed Saudi ass for as long as anyone can remember.

Do you think that people who pay 200$/y for the cnn subscription or who watch abc & friends want to hear or even care about previous administrations?

But the token conservative guest on the show will give a feeble attempt to mention that before he gets shouted down and called a fascist supporter of theocratic dictators. And they say there’s media bias…

You made me think of the Simpson episode where Bart is chased by an angry religious mob and the teacher/priest tells the kids:"Avert your eyes children. He may take on another form!".
I guess republican guests who dare to go cnn and similar places must feel like Bart.

Can’t see them running with that from now till the midterms, might need to wait a few days but Im sure we will find out what they have been working on for their October surprise soon.

It was this:

blasey-ford-21

They were playing that pretty well until Creepy Porn Lawyer got involved with allegations of gang bangs and punch bowls with drugs in them.

Which just reminded me to check his twitter feed, the guy is a hoot. Now he is challenging Donald Trump Jr to a MMA cage match. :joy:

He’s really milking every $ he can from his sudden notoriety.

Good for him. If people are silly enough to hand over free cash to him, go for it mister creepy porn lawyer, make hay while the sun shines.

Been tuning into CNN on and off the past few days, they seem intent on pushing the idea “our mobs are not mobs”. Probably better off going back to the old tactic of pretending they don’t exist.

If the Democrats knew what was best for them, they would take out a hit on this guy. You couldn’t ask for worse publicity than having this guy splash his ugly mug all over the news shows. But apparently, he’s talking about running for office. :open_mouth:

This seems like a winning strategy…

Pocahontas Warren is likely 1/1024th native american indian or HALF the percentage of the average white person. Native American tribes require like 1/6 to be considered a member.
what a dummy.

Twitter is making so much fun of her.

"A DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship. Current DNA tests do not even distinguish whether a person’s ancestors were indigenous to North or South America. Sovereign tribal nations set their own legal requirements for citizenship, and while DNA tests can be used to determine lineage, such as paternity to an individual, it is not evidence for tribal affiliation. Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong. It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, who ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is prove. Senator Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage. "

President Trump gets a lot of grief for calling Warren “Pocahontas,” but I think it’s just simple, effective cultural shorthand for “entitled Democrat hypocrite.”

Warren has both denied a North American heritage when it’s been convenient for her (e.g., in refusing to speak to Native American Law Student Association while a tenured faculty member of Harvard Law School) and claimed a North American heritage when convenient (e.g., in her late 30s she identified as Native American for employment purposes at U. of Penn Law School, to establish herself as a member of a minority). Now she claims it again, this time for political gain.

It’s also of a piece with his perhaps unintentional war on political correctness, which I also love. When Democrats cry about Trump destroying the fabric of American civility, what they really mean is that he’s destroying the fabric of the Democrats’ stranglehold on proper English in the US. A huge public service, imo.

Calling her Pocahontas is crude but very, very effective.
