The new Bond, James Bond

On to the real question:

When will the next Bond film come out with the new guy in it?

well i was sceptical about daniel craig as the new bond but the trailers for casino royale look sweet. he looks like a hard, nasty, mean, dirty fucker. a nice change for the character. look forward to seeing the flick!

November 17.

When I was in the British Army many moons ago there was an advertisement in our messhall for an audition for the bond role, when Roger Moore got the push.
Should have applied then, u never knowā€¦
Still think that this new Bond has the mean look that Fleming described in his books, nothing like the sissy boys like Moore

Thatā€™s what Iā€™ve been thinking. I may just be the first bond movie since Sean Connery that I might like.

How about that guy in ā€œThe Transporter.ā€

I donā€™t know anything about him but he looks like a talented laddy.

Yeah, I agree. He should look like heā€™d take a punch as well as looking at least half smart.

Brosnan was such a delicate looking James Bond. Always seemed to me like he was ready to cry when things were not going well.
No way. I loved Pierce Brosnan as Bond. He had the look and the ā€œI donā€™t give a damn stiff upper lipā€ attitude.

I am looking forward to this one, especially after seeing Craig in ā€˜Layer Cakeā€™. (Cool movie, see it if you havenā€™t yet!)

Had no problems with any of the Bonds previously, though I must admit I liked Moore best (at least when I was younger).
I even thought Timothy Dalton was good.

Yeah, Layer Cake is a stonker. Reminded me of The Long Good Friday ā€“ remember that one?
Dan Craig will be a fine Bond, I think ā€“ donā€™t forget that Flemingā€™s Bond was absolutely
a hard, nasty, mean, dirty fucker.
Layer Cake is dreary, contrived bollocks. Daniel Craig could make a decent Bond, though.

I quit watching Bond films years ago, so I never saw Brosnan as Bond. I also never saw even one minute of Reminton Steele as that had the look of utter crap from day one.

I did see Layer Cake, though, (great movie) and I remember thinking as I was watching it that this Craig guy just might make a good if blonde Bond.

Oh, Brosnan. Check out The Matador. Brosnan does a nice job sketching out a sympathetic hitman at the end of his career. I really like that movie, The Matador. I just might watch Brosnan as Bond, based on this performance.

Mike Myers should be the new James Bond.

Well when you think of the Matrix, Charlieā€™s Angels (can Hollywood go any lower? I hope not) and various other movies, thatā€™s the way itā€™s been for quite a few years now. Arenā€™t there any good plot writers left in Hollywood any more or do we have to rely on the independents and other non-Hollywood sources?

Iā€™m watching him in his last outing on Thursday, with a martini.

Canā€™t wait, but I have a feeling Iā€™m going to be disappointed. The movie is concerningly long and I donā€™t like the mumbling title song. Should have brought back Shirley Bassey.

A Bond movie should be fast and fun like a roller coaster. An almost 3 hour Bond affair sounds like a slog to get through and I have a hunch itā€™ll probably take itself too seriously with some woke politics sprinkled in there.

I used to love James Bond but since I was 23, I couldnā€™t stand it. Too absurd. Iā€™d growā€™d up. But the first Daniel Craig movie was awesome

James Bond should not be too pretty. He has a lot of competition from Tom Cruiseā€™s movies, Jason Statham.

The most amazing thing is not the fiction but the reality. Sean Connery was basically done as Bond at 38. Today Bond in his 50s looks good, great physique and could kick the ass of earlier JBs

But the focus of the question is wrong. The bad guy is the key, not JB. In the Joaquin Phoenix Batman, does anybody remember who played Batman?

The Bourne movies forced Bond to change.

My money is on Tom Hardy as the next Bond.

Might be a tad old, heā€™s busy with Venom, and associated with a host of other characters like Mad Max and Bane, and to be honest his distinct facial profile is not how I picture Bond. Heā€™s tooā€¦ beefy. I think it may be Tom Hiddleston if heā€™s done with Lokiā€¦. But my real hunch is itā€™ll be someone none of us are currently expecting.

Pretty sure itā€™ll be a woman, or at least a black guy.

There is no Joaquin Phoenix Batman film. He was in a film called Joker, which was a film about The Joker.

It also needs to be peppered with silly one liners.

James Bond : Why, itā€™s just a hat, darlingā€¦ Evidently belonging to a small-headed man of limited means, who lost a fight with a chicken.
