What’s the story with the name AniSll - and how is it meant to be pronounced? I always feel that I’m getting a little proctological when I say it…
Correct.
I thought Tetsuo was the name of a Japanese sci-fi horror flick. I guess you all didn’t see that one. There’s also a sequel: Tetsuo II. These were inflicted on me by an old housemate a few years ago.
Mine is just my name…
It’s a conjunction of Anita and Silly. Ani-Sll. I tend to agree with you on this, and would prefer just Anita myself, but we’ll see if she’s open to persuasion ![]()

Once I have found the name of a suitable ancient (or perhaps modern?) female philopsoher, I will consider changing my user name. ![]()
Does anyone have any suggestions? ![]()
I looked over at the far right top corner of the page, next to “Logout”
I coulda sworn I explained it before…but maybe not. It has something to do with a notorious Mexican bandit named Pancho Villa and one of his riders…who happened to be my great-great grand pappy. Nickname, not real name, of course.

Simone de Beauvoir is one of the most famous female philosophers.

A little bit of trivia (feel free to use it in the next AnimalsinTaiwan Pub Quiz
):
My original online name was Imani110 where the 110 stood for the Ohio University Marching 110, but after being disgruntled with the organization during my senior year of university, I switched it to ImaniOU to represent my alma mater instead. My original Forumosa name from when it was still oriented.org was Tailemeiguoren.

Actually, my muslim name is a tribute to David Bowie’s wife. I chose the name Imani for that very reason. Good on ya to pick that up!

Thank you people, I’ve finally changed my name to Dragonbabe!!
Just a reminder, my last signing name had nothing to do with ass!!

A few of you asked what the hell “Jaboney” means. I’ve come across it in a few odd places, but picked it up long ago. It was my Grandpa’s nickname for me. As far as I’m concerned it just means “boney little kid.” shrug It was “Jaboney”, or my father’s nickname for me: “Fartski”.
I can just imagine how much fun you’d all have with that one.
Can’t believe I’m going to devulge this but here goes: I was a shit kicking doorman with a soft side. I started clubs when I was 17. I didn’t put up with a goddamned thing. I would bounce you the hell out if you spat on the floor in front of me. That being said I was kind hearted and would run to just about anyones defence. I was calm and collected untill someone flipped my switch. M0NSTER became my nickname because of my Dr. Jykle and Hyde type style. I’m 27 now with loads of expereince so I’ve learned to calm the heck down physically. Before I left Canada, I was accepted into Aylmer, Ontario Police College. I had done work in the MTHA and also for various security companies such as Intercon Security. I have also worked for some of the most popular nightclubs in Toronto. Now I must admit that Taiwan has taught me alot and quite possibly changed my career aspirations.
Long Irish last name starting with McG.
Outlandish passion for the Suzuki GSXR’s, the air and oil cooled ones specifically from 1985 to 1992. Owned 11 of them, building 7/11’s, and creating unique (to Canada, there is a great tradition in the British Isles) naked bikes, ala streetfighters etc.
Cut my teeth on the 2 strokes, including several in Taiwan during my 2 year tenure back in the mid to late 90’s, and then when I came back to Canada, bought an RZ350. Blew the motor (of course), and rebuilt and sold it. I use a piston from that bike on my desk, in my office at work, as a pen holder…
Then I bought my first GSXR, an ex race bike from Ottawa, an old knackered 85 750, and the passion was born!
I bought and sold a ton of parts via the 'Net, cross border into the US, and so my online handle was born!
Thus, mcgsxr.
