The Taiwanse "girl role guy role" couple?
Of course that’s not universally true, but that’s my theory. Why do you believe guys are more likely to fantasize about two women together than vice versa?
TELL me that’s a rhetorical question, laddie.

No, I’m serious. It’s been suggested in this thread and others that it’s more likely for (seemingly hetero) guys to get excited about the idea of two women getting sexual with each other than for (seemingly hetero) girls to get excited about the idea of two guys getting sexual with each other. Remember the excitement over the Britney/Madonna kiss? Of course that was just the tip of the iceberg and the media is constantly titillating us with hints of sexy lesbians. But of course Hollywood hunks would never dare play that game as it wouldn’t excite their fans but confuse or repulse them.

Poagao is right, there is a double standard regarding heteros feelings with respect to male and female homosexuality. I was just positing a theory why that might be and I’d be genuinely curious to hear other attempts to explain it.

Here’s another possible theory. Pardon my bluntness. Men’s sexual organs are hard and penetrating, womens’ soft and accomodating. Perhaps more men fantasize about lesbians going at it than women fantasizing about gay men, to answer Battery9’s question, because if it’s a real fantasy it likely involves the dreamer also participating and many women may feel sex with one dick is enough, more than that might be a little scary, or painful, and might involve being anally penetrated, something many women are a little squeamish about; whereas for a guy if you add more women to the equation there’s no fear of being painfully penetrated, just more tongues, breasts, vaginas, ie., softness and gentle accomodation.

And here’s a third theory. The world is overwhelmingly patriarchal and heterosexual, so straight men generally dictate the social norms and the content of media, advertising, entertainment and everything else.

I think there may be some merit to all of these theories. Are they so wacky? Why do you believe the world was titillated by the Britney/Madonna kiss and all its imitators but will never see a Pitt/Clooney kiss?

Personally, I get excited whenever a new comic comes out from Alison Bechdel.

“Standards” are expectations we impose. I don’t see this as a standard, or a prejudice. I’m totally cool with both male and female homosexuals. I have some as friends, and I’m all for equal rights in every way. If I have kids and one turns out to be gay or lesbian, that’s ok. I’ll love them just the same.

However, seeing two chicks together (I’m talking explicit pics here) is titillating, and seeing two hairy blokes together is unattractive to me. But that’s a private difference in my own arousal response, and not a “standard” or prejudice which impinges upon others. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with having that private difference in response. It’s just the way I’m wired, and it doesn’t affect gay males in a negative way, other than meaning that I’m not going to buy their porn. :stuck_out_tongue:

Now, the question of why seeing two chicks together would be appealing to a man, while seeing two men together is not appealing to most women still stands and is a good one. But I don’t think it’s fair to call it a ‘double standard’ or somehow ‘unfair’.

Porn is porn for a reason. It is a fantasy…because show me 2 real lesbians that have bleach blonde hair, high heel shoes, big boobs and LONG nails. Really…

Bleach blonde hair, high heel shoes, big boobs and long nails are all unappealing anyway.

4 excellent reasons to avoid american porn. apart from the directing, the pretend ‘plot’, the shoddy, bored technique, and the woeful forced fake soundtrack.

Bah! Next thing you’ll be trying to tell me lesbians don’t drop everything mid rooting session in sheer delight when a naked stranger with a hard on enters the bedroom unannounced!

HG

So, it’s officially against the religion to wear high heels?
See, this is why I can’t convert. I mean, ok, I’ll cut my nails, on boobs and hair I’m already there… but I won’t wear flats for anyone!

In porno, it’s always simulated lesbian sex.

When does simulated sex become actual sex?

He said it is simulated lesbian sex. He means they ain’t true gay. They are just actresses playing the part of lesbians. All the time they are secretly thinking of cock.

Side note: I heard that them porn stars bleach their bullet holes (botty/ bum/ exit wound) so that they look nice and clean.

Shouldn’t that be called a “slide note”?
