If you can mail in your vote why can’t you vote online using your social security number? Online voting would have the additional benefit of allowing you to go online and verify your vote had been tallied correctly.

This shit is not controlled at the federal level. And at the local level, it’s getting to be less streamlined. Here in GA, we’ve gone from signing for your ballot, to voter id, to voter id and signing, to this election where we had voter id and had to sign a statement that you’re eligible to vote.
You move shit to the federal level and make it all electronic, the conspiracy cooks would really be crawling out of the woodwork with their deep state shit.

I’ll ignore the fact you’re having a conversation with yourself, and emphasize the fact that Li Denghui, a technocrat, IMO was the greatest president of Taiwan. Sometimes you need smart qualified people.
Mail-in voting is more secure? All some bad actor has to do is drop a couple of hundred official-looking envelopes filled with white powder in the mail to key county election offices and the election process would be paralyzed for days or weeks.

What’s interesting is Democrats are the ones who start throwing up non-sequiturs and other roadblocks whenever the subject of online voting comes up.
I don’t remember much controversy about election fairness in 2016. Many democrats questioned the voters’ intelligence and the state of the country for electing Trump, yes, but who with a brain wouldn’t?
After the 2020 election, however, I distinctly remember many Republicans (including many really brain-dead Taiwanese Trump fans on facebook) questioning the results of the election. It’s the same this time (though to a lesser extent). I have seen some Republicans claiming that the Democrats have “rigged” the results, including the discussion above here about mail-in ballots. Seems like this wouldn’t have been a problem at all if Republican candidates had done better this time around.
The reality is people are fed up with the GOP’s cultural war and war against women. Nobody cares about woke nonsense more than bigots do, and only the most disgusting, deplorable, ignorant, detestable, shameless, pitiful, relentless, repugnant, nasty zealous women-haters actually support abortion ban. Women REFUSE to be told what to do with their bodies, and that was the strongest motive for keeping Democrats in power. For anyone who believes the Democrats gained a seat at the Senate with an extremely unpopular incumbent Democrat president, high inflation, high crime, terrible stock market, and one global shock event after another because the voting system is rigged, the only suggestion I have is to turn off Fox News and read a goddamn book.
