Do you guys Facebook? Regularly or sometimes? Get anything out of it?
i signed on in 2009 i think and then never checked in again till recently. And found a bunch of messages from TAS group and i just replied like its 2026 so minus 2009 so thats 17 years for me to reply. MUst be some sort of record no? Think they will respond back? Will i need to wait 17 years for them to reply?
I’ve been without facebook for over a decade now, prior to that I had two or three profiles consecutively after having deleted them
Whilst it is good to connect with people, way back it was heavily used for people (friends, family members) making political opinion statements and then also people posting private things publicly which discredits reputation.
I’ve been quite happy without it.
It’s a useful tool for me in terms of vaguely keeping in touch with people I might otherwise lose touch with. I rarely post on it.
It’s good for birthday wishes!!
The best thing about Facebook is you never lose touch with people. The worst thing about Facebook is you never lose touch with people.
Sometimes they die.
NOT!
OPSEC dictates not to touch any social media!
I’ve found out about a number of deaths through Facebook. And then their profile just stays the same for 10+ years.
I tried it early on and dumped it pretty quickly as it was just a torrent of bullshit, though I recently created a fake account only to access a couple of private group pages.
Yanked out of context, does this not sound like . . . . forumosa? ![]()

At least the Q factor is measureable here, it’s completely lost there. ![]()
I would like this post, but I don’t know what a “Q factor” is.
I’m now stuck somewhere reading about bioinfomatrics. ![]()

Q = Quality of signal, (i.e. the Signal part of Signal to Noise ratio).
So sad yes reading through the happy birthdays and then one was a happy birthday in heaven !!! Dang and then I read that both him and his bro have passed away
They were two brothers and one sister in a teen club band when they were not in classes.
Dam good they were too
So yes some have passed away and others disappeared and others taking 17 years to reply
Oh and one was funny there was a guy called Sam and bis brother Peter but everyone assumed Peter was MY brother and not Sam’s I don’t know why cuz none of us looked alike
So he wrote that him and his real bro Sam don’t communicate and went their separate ways
No card nothing and he was asking how I was
I wrote back but as mentioned 17 years later
Oh and does anyone do classmates.com
I’m on there but not active and recently kept getting a notice that a particular person kept looking at my profile and I can’t remember who this girl is at all
Like we never even knew each other so it’s not about some kid lol
I got me a stalker !!

The Posse is hard to manage, but runs a good game
It never made sense to me to join a platform whose business model is commercializing your privacy in exchange for attention.
