It’s easier to get benzos, amphetamines, morphine etc without a prescription than it is to buy alcohol where I’m from.

 doctors here have been known to prescribe those by the ton, like enough to knock out an elephant.

But amphetamines and morphine? I’m not sure. I don’t even think you could get aderall with prescription here. And as far as I know morphine is only used in inpatient setting at the hospital. I seriously doubt you can get it at all.

I’ve never had morphine in Taiwan. Even when I was screaming in pain from an impacted disc and then post-surgery, they only gave me Demerol. You need to have terminal cancer to get it.

I’ve heard you can get a morphine drip for really serious injuries and extreme pain, but it’s out-of-pocket, not covered by NHI and of course, only in-patient.

Say what you want. Overdose death rate is very low in Taiwan.

More interventions maybe? Because Taiwan is crawling with alcohol and illegal drugs.

That’s because the drugs of choice are mostly MDMA, meth, ketamine and cannabis. There aren’t many overdoses on those. If you think that Taiwan doesn’t have a drug problem, you’re probably hanging out with only your bible study group and hiking society.
