I just saw this guy by the Thames with this neck tattoo. Does anyone know what it translates to into English?
Not really sure whatās going on in the top row, the first character is ć¬ which is uncommon. I have a feeling itās a transliteration of his name. The bottom two say ęå¼·, ālove strongā
Become a Kung-Fu Troop and love strong (no one says it like this)?!
Not sure if some super inside meaning, or someone butchered this one.
Looks like āęµę°éāā¦so like āHood Lifeā?
i cant nescessarily translate it, given that I can hardly figure out what some of those characters are. Plainly horribly written. Someone clearly did not learn their stroke order.
Started writing this before the other comments, so apologies for any repetition. Got distracted and didnāt post.
the first one (top left) looks like å· or å¼ ļ¼simplified), the middle one no fucking clue, totally indecipherable to me, last oneā¦ éļ¼éļ¼ Hard to say. Bottom two are miraculously legible (if still just awfully written) by comparison, being ęå¼·.
I sincerely hope this was some sort of prison tattoo he did on himself because nothing else excuses how ugly those characters are.
Now trying to make sense of itā¦ You know how researchers of ancient history are able to make sense of fragments of say papyrus or whatever through knowledge of syntax, common written vocabulary, grammar, and by virtue of having read thousands of original documents? I imagine trying to make sense of what that first line is supposed to mean would be a similar task.
Do we know if thatās the end of it? Maybe @superking should ask the bloke how far down it goes.
Iād love to know where you got that from
Presumably it translates to the same thing that most neck and face tattoos do, something like: āmakes excellent decisionsā
At least heās in good company with the Chinese back tattoos. Riley Ried has one and sheās a very famousā¦internet personality and generally classy! (VERY EXPLICIT LANGUAGE HEADPHONES ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED NOT JOKING)
If you havenāt seen that before, I am so sorry. Also, youāre welcome.
I think itās written incorrectly. The second character looks like ę° to me. The first one looks like it should be ęµ but it doesnāt have water. The closest thing these resemble to me is ęµę°. Also the é(or possibly é)makes me think itās describing his life. From English the only sort of ālifeā one might get tattooed on them is āThug Lifeāā¦which fits in with my theory about the characters.
ā¦also my Chinese sucks so itās probably what you said.
mine isnāt great either, in fairness, I have no ability to contextually determine the meaning of that one from what bits of it are kinda decipherable
Wow, I am not sure what to say after listening to that, its like something happening in my ears similar to what happens to the eyes of those that looked too closely at the eclipse. Internet personality eh
figured her job out did you
Iāll leave it to you to go ahead and do some research to figure out what her back tattoo says
Read me like a book. Meanwhile the automated profanisaurus at the bottom of the page there is telling me ęµ·ęÆē³ē
This āChinese characters I canāt unseeā thread is potentially a nice little counterpoint to the Chinese characters I always forget one.
about equally profound
The moment to ask has passed.
Itās hard to say. The fellow was in his late 60ās, at a guess. And it was on the towpath between Kingston and Teddington. He could have been anything. His tattoo was unusual.
Yea I was just joking that any tattoo on the head indicates a possible poor decision
My wife reckons a name at the top and nickname at the bottom.
That is her best guess
Thereās one very famous porn star that has āif life gives you lemons make lemonadeā tattooed on her back in Chinese.
