Trying to find a girl I met in 2015

I was thinking of the same song.

It’s actually a terrible sentiment, but Tommy’s comment…

Man, you banged her and then made her feel bad about herself??? You SHOULD hang your head in shame.

Don’t hang yourself, just hang your head in shame and do like a trek in Tibet or something to atone yourself.

we all probably been there once or twice in the past if your history is long enough.

I cold turkeyed a coupla girls in the past and im sorry for my behavior too. Not going to look for them, will apologize if i ever do see them again though.

“Cold turkeyed”?? Jesus Tommy it’s called ghosting. Get with the program.

sorry im not (whats the new generation called?) Gen X or Y or W (sounds like car tire speed ratings).

Educamate me a lil here, I THINK Ghosting is avoiding someone? But Cold Turkeying is like completely dropping them to me, not just avoiding. Its Unfinished Sentencing them.

Nah that’s what’s referred to as ghosting. Completely dropping somebody, cutting contact without saying goodbye. Disappearing. Much like a ghost.

Ah ok all the same then.
well anyways we probably will or have in time been ghosted and will ghost someone or ones .

there are those we wanna ghost and those that wanna ghost us…

They must have their point clear?

Just stray thought-ing here. Maybe its cuz im a dude but i think five years is not that long ago and its possible to reconnect in some meaningful way. But what do the ladies think? Five years may be as old as that computer bought five years ago as far as ladies think?

I think if some dude was a dick to me five years ago I wouldn’t care whether he was alive or dead by now.

Went down to Saint Tropez
Where Renoir paints the walls
Described you clearly
But the sky began to fall

Am I ever gonna see your face again
Am I ever gonna see your face again

Trams, cars and taxis
Little waxworks on the move
Carry young girls past me
But none of them are you

Am I ever gonna see your face again
Am I ever gonna see your face again

Without you near me
I got no place to go
Wait at the bar
Maybe you might show

Am I ever gonna see your face again
Am I ever gonna see your face again

I’ve got to stop these tears
That’s falling from my eye
Go walk out in the rain
So no one sees me cry

Am I ever gonna see your face again
Am I ever gonna see your face again

Am I ever gonna see your face again
Am I ever gonna see your face again

Can’t stop the memory
That goes climbing through my brain
I get no answers
So the questions still remains

Am I ever gonna see your face again
Am I ever gonna see your face again

Call me a Boomer.

I would maybe get some satisfaction out of the fact that he was still hung up on it and that he was feeling bad about it. But I wouldn’t want to reconnect and I guess ignoring him reaching out would also be a little satisfying.

Vindictive? Me? Not at all.

that is a great term! Don’t get with the times tommy, stay as you are!

i think we’ve all done it. you cold turkey someone then in those lonely times you regret the shit out of it… but at the end of the day the cold turkeying was for a reason, we would only do it again.

What in the world are you jive turkeys talkin bout?

If you’re traveling till the north country fair
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline
Remember me to one who lives there
For she once was the true love of mine
See for me if her hair’s hanging down
It curls and flows all down her breast
See for me that her hair’s hanging down
That’s the way I remember her best
If you go when the snowflakes fall
When the rivers freeze and summer ends
Please see for me if she’s wearing a coat so warm
To keep her from the howlin’ winds
If you’re traveling in the north country fair
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline
Please say hello to the one who lives there
For she once was a true love of mine
And if you’re traveling in the north country fair
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline
Remember me to one who lives there
For she once was a true love of mine
True love of mine, a true love of mine
True love of mine, a true love of mine
A true love of mine, a true love of mine
She was once a true love of mine

And all these love songs would have had zero success if we didn’t feel the pain of the love that got away

Yea, gee willikers, Tommy, get hep to the jive!
Good thing that you’ve done your courting, and you snagged yerself a hot broad because these days people have stopped using rolodexes and starting using mobile phones to store the numbers of stewardesses, . . . and they say, “ghosted” now instead of “cold-turkeyed.”
