For Taiwan we should have more typhoons than last year, which is no surprise considering they all dodged us and went to Japan.
yeah, pretty far from us… Sigh…
Didn’t we barely have any typhoon action last year? I can’t seem to remember a single frenzied visit to the grocery store.

We only had a small one the whole summer… All the fun stuff did sharp turns and went to Japan. The most disappointing summer ever.
Don’t forget the one that went to Hong Kong last summer.

I mean, better than nothing, but I was promised more and more typhoons of bigger intensity due to climate change, but the last remarkable typhoon season was 2015. The disappointment is real.
July is usually the month during which interesting stuff happens, so there’s still room for improvement.
CWB going on tv, saying we could experience the effects of the typhoon on Tuesday.

Water temperature is likely to lure the storm to the West, between us and the PHI. Latest announcement has also seen a reduction in the intensity:

Currently the majority of models have this storm move between Taiwan and the PHI, one of them is still expecting a typhoon and one has forecast it to dissipate within the next 48/72 hours. The only model that is expecting this storm to become a typhoon is the one that also expected the previous storm to become a typhoon. Remember last week’s typhoon ? Yeah, neither do I.
The way it looks low, the South of Taiwan may enjoy some rain in the coming days. I’m checking updateswhen I’m at the pc but it looks like a rather unremarkable storm.
I just reported what they said. No comment on my part as to how likely it was. They say…
On a personal note, no action at the Emergency Central Center, which if the threat was upon us, would be abuzz with police and satellite trucks.

Don’t Americans in the northeast pray for snow days?
Children do, but most adults don’t.
Many places don’t even offer snow days. If you can’t make it to work, you lose a sick/vacation day.
