I live pretty close to where the flooding was on zhongxiao east and I was told the exact same thing. Wild, but definitely fixable. Guess we will see soon if things have been improvedâŚ
well, they are having unusually heavy rains as part of their seasonal rainy season, and typhoons donât go that far inland, so maybe thereâs a grain of truth in that.

Apparently, if your company divides workers into different groups to work from home in alternate turns, when you are working from home, you donât get a typhoon day, however if you are supposed to be in the office for that day, then you would get a typhoon dayâŚ

That is odd. Itâs almost like they donât intend typhoon days to be a free holiday for employees, but rather some kind of âtyphoon dayâ so that people donât need to commute to work in a typhoon. Weird!
Itâs odd because those who were supposed to be in the office could also just work from home. Either everyone gets a typhoon day, or everyone has to work from home.

Like youâve said before, the point of a typhoon day is so that people donât need to commute to work in a typhoon. I would be fine if thatâs how it goes in the future. If a work place or a specific job canât operate without people physically being there, then I understand why a typhoon day is needed, however, those companies thatâre doing alternate WFH groups obviously have the ability to allow people to WFH, they just insist on forcing more than half of the people being in the office due to⌠whatever psychological reasons that the bosses have.
