USA new CEO, President Trump: Is it good for the stock market

We did it! And in record time. It only took us 71 days to go from $37 trillion to $38 trillion this time.

Nothing’s stopping us now!

But wait, how about DOGE? And how about paying down the national debt using tariff revenue (i.e., taxes)?

Turned out to be like trying to stop a runaway train by parking a Tesla on the tracks. It’s all up to God and bond vigilantes now.

United States stocks at a record high (non AI ones) yesterday, seems it is good year.

Not sure how that works since the AI ones are the biggest ones. Does not compute.

I mean, they put Americas favorite house wife in jail for way less! trump&Martha

Good for profiteering, good for economy or good for the ethics of the nation? I find it quite gross to be honest.

Aren’t you supposedly concerned with sexual harassment issues? And here you have a full thread which you started talking positively about “CEO, President Trump” (your framing, not mine)—someone who has been found guilty by a jury of sexual assault.

You are now posting positively about the “good year” in the stock market with this sexual assaulting “CEO” in charge. I wonder how you square this up in your heart?

He’s not Indian, apparently.

The whole framing of this thread is so compartmentalized, so narrowly blinkered, it continues to astound me. Trump is not a “CEO,” he’s a political leader wielding his power to terrorize minorities and do everything he can to stop open discussions of all sorts of pressing issues including climate change. Viewing this situation as a “good year” requires an exceptional level of moral bracketing and mental compartmentalization. It boggles my mind.

I like most Taiwanese want make money, which he is helping and he protects Taiwan

My AI stocks are profitable, but missed selling NVIDA at 200+, others sold a few this week matching SP400 peaks.

There’s a lot of evidence out there suggesting that you may be sadly mistaken about the second point. I sure hope you are right though.

We may find out as soon as next April–Trump says he’s going to go to China for a summit with Xi then.

Let’s hope he doesn’t make one of his famous ‘deals’ that sells out Taiwan in favor of the commercial interests that so obviously dominate his petty mind. Or agree to whatever China wants to bring fake peace to the Taiwan Strait in pursuit of his fantasies about the Nobel Peace Prize.

Well the stock market is about investing to increase wealth. You can try to do that with moral posturing or just follow the trends.

I’ve had a great year

And trumps EOs and tariff efforts and supply chain changes have done me and many others a great deal of good. I don’t recall eating any babies along the way. Poor people say the funniest things .

Yes your moral bracketing is also apparent.

To your credit, you are quite open about it.

I don’t think you know too much about my moral bracket tbh. Sounds like sour grapes :grapes:

Regarding the grapes part, the answer is “no.” It’s clear you know quite little about what I believe.

I disagree. I am always amazed at how you manage to clutch your pearls whilst riding such a high horse.

This thread isn’t about moral posturing btw. Stop derailing it for your ego.

The framing of the US president as a “CEO” is a particular form of bracketing that has nothing to do with my ego. The fact you’re doing after me for pointing out the mental gymnastics this bracketing involves strikes me as odd. But lots of things you post on this site strike me as odd, and you’re not persuading me in this thread to think otherwise. So good day to you.

:joy:

You seem to hold this opinion about many people on this site. I guess it’s us.
