We all don’t do that though. She did, in an up market, and she’s happy with the outcome. We get all bent out of shape about money you didn’t make if the market keeps going up? Not everyone is so irrational.
For example, I sold my drone stocks. They kept going up. I’m fine with that. I made my money off them.
I don’t know I guess I don’t think ‘I made money from stocks’ means the stock market is still good. All it says is it was good or I bought and I sold at a profit.
If everybody starts selling and tries to profit take at the same time then it means the stock market is going to shit.
You keep saying “If everybody..” and missing the point. The market is up. Trump without question owns this market. Selling at one of the peaks in a rising market is not what you seem to be suggesting it is, some sign of a weakness in the market.
If I sold my 100% gains in TSLA this year would that suggest TSLA is soft?
Well at times he’s done his best to mess it up also IMHO. Somehow it kept going up. For instance you might notice that he cancelled all the subsidies for electric cars but TESLA kept going up. So they literally went up against the trend (because Musk is very clever at pushing to different narratives which is now robotics/AI).
Key Takeaways:
Overall Decline in 2025: Year-to-date (YTD) Tesla sales in the U.S. for 2025 are below 2024 levels, with some months seeing significant drops (e.g., 23% in November 2025 vs. 2024).
Market Share Pressure: While Tesla still dominates the U.S. EV market (around 41-48% in Q3 2025), its share is shrinking as other automakers gain traction, with total U.S. EV sales growing much faster than Tesla’s.
Tax Credit Impact: The discontinuation of the $7,500 federal tax credit at the end of September 2025 significantly affected November sales, creating a slump.
I also don’t ascribe to the notion that the President of the US directs the stock market that much. Bigger forces at play. It’s more like the president is just one of the factors involved and usually not the most important factor. What’s more important are cycles of technology and interest rates and debt build up and geopolitical stuff (well it’s very fortunate that the US has massive supplies of oil and gas otherwise inflation would have smashed up consumers like what happened in Europe).
Well, the thread intimates Trump owns the market. I’ll buy that at face value. It’s the stock market we’re talking about not the economy. I think you’re overthinking this, and your distaste for Trump and the tariffs and such may have, might have, coloured* your perspective! lol
*Please note the Euro-centric spelling done purposefully so as to reduce any inflammation you might feel from stepped on toes. lol
There is no consistent, statistically significant long-term correlation between the U.S. President’s political party and overall stock market performance; market returns are primarily driven by economic fundamentals, such as corporate earnings, interest rates, and the broader business cycle. While historical data may show variations in average returns under different presidents, these are largely attributed to the economic conditions and global events at the time, rather than the individual in office.
Agreed. But therin lies the question, why hide the files so openly, and filled with backtracking bullshit. Without mentioning others, how does one defend trump not releasing after claiming to want to release. It’s not 100% evidence, but even the most strictest of MAGA cult supporters must admit this is not right and almost for sure a conspiracy. Not a theory. It was on record.
Trump has so many horrendous words himself. Hateful speech, hateful actus. Wrong acts. There comes a time when someone has become such a MASSIVE peice of shit, he needs to start providing evidence and proof to defend his actions. We don’t get to give one person this many passes for this long a time anyone. It’s not woke, it’s not new, it’s just he is on record so often. He did this to himself. And likely to others. Time to pay the piper. Preferably before he dies, as any real justice should be served.
Yes, sold at a good profit, which is the goal. Sometimes the price does go up after selling but still happy with the profit (30% avg this year. better than bank savings). The exchange rate is also back to 37 to one NT$ (euro) and USA$ is 31.6 which is ok,
