Yeah, one of them was shot by the guard/police (Idk what they are called in the Capitol building), which isnât exactly unexpected. US police shoot all the time.

Trump is too enamored with Chinaâs Emporer for life and Putin holding on to Russia like a Czar. He seems to see himself as some sort of Emporer , President for life as well.

It doesnât matter if itâs NONE of those arrests resulted in serious sentencing, as the arrests themselves shows the disproportionate response.

Anyway, for those who donât know, LAâs new DA has spelled out a non prosecute policy for a range of low level misdemeanors. Itâs because many of these arrests do nothing - primarily arresting people who suffer from mental illness, substance abuse, or homelessness - i.e. people who need help rather than being criminally prosecuted. Theyâre also crimes that are prosecuted or not based on the discretion of the DA anyway; this just formally lays out that policy and skips the step of arresting those (and removes them from the police interaction that can be dangerous to them and the police).
The PPL has come out against this, unsurprisingly, although the police unionâs president has criticized the mass incarceration in LA.
Regardless, Iâd be curious on what information you base a large increase in crimes based on this policy. Which has only been in force for a month. ;D
