Who is it for?
Forumosa is for You. English is our favorite language, but other languages are welcome (we may moderate use of a particular language if we get the feeling things are getting out of hand). Forumosa began in 1998 as ORIENTED.org, a project of CAPT, and has grown into a haven for newcomers to Taiwan, long-term residents, returnees, and homegrown Taiwanese alike. -
What can they expect to find here?
Expect to find questions, answers, stories, (a LOT of) opinions, light-hearted reading, angry messages, how-to advice, things-to-do, things-to-avoid, et cetera ad infinitum. -
Why should you come here?
Because Forumosa is a large and vibrant community. It’s a great way to reach a lot of people in English who are connected to Taiwan. We would hope you would come here to post when you have finally figured out answers to those questions that puzzled you about living or working (or simply being) in Taiwan. Share them with others who - despite each of our unique stories and circumstances - can glean some spark of insight from your experience. -
