Because I don’t answer the first 3 questions of where are you from and how long have you been in Taiwan and what are you doing here I don’t get any more questions. Except occasionally the first question is “are you a foreigner?” (In Chinese) To which I always answer “no I am a Taiwanese” (in Chinese).

Everything said in Chinese when ordering a coffee… except “sugar?”!! I guess a lot of people just know this one word in English.

I’m ethnically Taiwanese, and I got this question online when they saw pictures of my nieces.
They love to ask if your kids are mixed.

The first question is so stupid that I just look at them and not respond.
Second question just makes me wonder why they can’t think of any nice things about their own country.

It’s a southern thing. A lot of the older southerners such as in Kaohsiung and Tainan still say that.

Do you like Taiwanese food? 對 Which kinds?
The odd time having an older man trying to set me up with his 40 year old unmarried daughter (happened a handful of times)
