Ah, I did see Prometheus, which I guess also counts as part of the Aliens franchise. I thought it was okay, but I can’t remember much except large white humanoid aliens and Fassbender’s robot.
Finally saw Nope. Might be Peele’s best yet imho. Just don’t go in expecting a direct metaphor for systemic problems like in Get Out or Us. Totally different vibe. Wild, fun ride.

Yes, a fun ride and more entertaining than his previous works. Reminded me of Shyamalan’s Signs.

Watched ‘The Black Phone’ last night. Pretty good thriller. Pacing is a bit slow in the middle though and too predictable towards the end. Good recreation of 1970s Americana, decent acting. 8/10

The new Ghostbusters movie is on netflix. They use the Super 8 / Stranger Things formula, which works way better than the unfunny female comedian route.

Saw it on the airplane not too bad especially for an airplane film, but it’s definitely not my favorite. A few cheesey/awkward moments. I liked the cinematography a lot
Actually, the little marshmallow men scene made me wonder if there’s a gremlin remake in the works?
