Actual Shawarma
A good mini golf
Is a mini golf at Dajia riverside park.
Have to take your own club and balls.
Lebanese restaurant
More nicer brew pub, brasserie places that do good food and brunch
There’s a shawarma place across from 小巨蛋 that uses what looks something like banhmi rolls.
It’s shite. Concrete surface so the balls bounce out all the time.
A mesquite grilled fish restaurant where fresh fish is grilled over open flames.
A decent bowling alley in a central location?
I remember taking some visitors to that bowling alley near Jiantan MRT. Calling it run down at that time would be polite. No idea what it looks like now.
That bowling alley is still decrepit, at least they serve big bottles of beer.
Good second hand clothing stores, bodegas with cats, Taco Bell, cannabis dispensaries.
Yea… wrong culture. Perhaps if we get a huge number of American immigrants who actually STAYS rather than go back in 2 years, we’ll see more of these type of restaurants. Otherwise, Taiwanese prefers yaniku style grilling which is more Japanese… When in Rome…
It’s still run down. I mean after all bowling is basically a niche sport in Taiwan, in a country where few do sports.
Haven’t had the runs in Taiwan for a long time, Taco Bell would definitely fix this.
A delicious treat and weight loss plan all in one!
Sometimes the decrepit places have charm. Especially if they’re still selling big bottles of beer as @Cmkzmb mentioned.
Every basketball court I pass by is full of people. Every riverside path is full of people biking and jogging. Every baseball field has teams in it. What are you talking about?
Did any celebrity get famous bowling?
There’s your answer.
Top golf
There’s definitely an upward trend too. I’m seeing more and more people jogging. Not just weird strained looking fast-walking too, actual jogging.
