What's the Biggest Lie People Still Believe?

Well I eat fruits, and I still eat vegetables sometimes.

The problem is, carb based food is cheap, and stably priced.

If you notice meat in Taiwan is always consistently expensive, and fruits/vegetables can range from ridiculously cheap to more expensive than lamb!

So that means you can’t really budget effectively if you’re eating vegetables all the time. Cabbages are the most consistent vegetables but they vary from 10nt a head all the way up to 200nt a head. Only way to really be secure in vegetable supply is grow your own. I heard one reason for the instability in vegetable price is because of all the middlemen.

It’s hard to be healthy and have a decent budget.

I mean rice is always anywhere from 25-35nt per jin, and that price NEVER EVER change.

Latin-x drives me bonkers. I studied spanish from the 6th grade to sophomore in Uni, and the first time I saw it I read to myself: ā€œlatinksā€

How to make latino/latina more inclusive? JUST SAY LATIN! bah.

It’s probably ok to not veggies if you avoid processed carbs be sugars to fill you up.

Plenty of nutrients in meat, fish, eggs, and dairy that will keep you alive without making you fat.

I’m not vegan, but I must pick on this line.
How many acres does it take to feed a cow? How many vegans could live off the same acreage?

Now, if you’re talking ultra-pure vegan, then I agree. First, no honey. Second no agriculture that’s used forced-bee labor to pollinate crops… So it would take much more land to successfully feed the most demanding of vegan palates

Latin is a language.

I’m not sure it’s as simple as you’ve put it. The reality is, modern farming is not that efficient because it’s about profit and not feeding people the most efficient way possible. Many farm land are unable to be used harvest after harvest. I’ve lived in the country side where places are dedicated farm land but has to take years off to rotate cash crops. They just sit there unused for years.

In an more optimal world, perhaps farm land could be used for raising animals to replenish the land like how it is in nature. Animals graze over a patch of land. Eat everything but they shit everywhere and move on to the next patch of land.

Unfortunately many regulations in countries prevent something like that from happening.

Well it’s 2020
I guess ppl could just eat fibers
There’s even fiber coke out there…
Or fruits like pineapples have lots of fibers in them too

Ha, child’s play! If he had cojones, he would be in the big league…

I’m aware that my current workload is not sustainable, I’m going to burn out. My masters is done I about 7 months and my CFA exams will be around that time. I’m hoping to continue to be self employed where I have more time if the business is viable on its own. But for the next 7 months, I have to grind.

I do try to set aside time for the gym for exercise and maybe 1-2 hours of leisure time in the evening.

He was aware of how LED would be used. Of course there is always risk, but that’s business.

And anyone with an equal understanding of how LED’s would be used but arriving just after the perfect moment instead of just before it… would be not so lucky. :frowning:

But not everyone with an equal understanding of LEDs before the boom took the risk of leaving their job and selling off their car and using their entire saving to start a company did.

My dad was a very poor man with a trade skill in engineering with no college degree. I think he would find it silly to say he got lucky. He took a calculated risk. Not to say luck plays no part.

Luck only goes so far. That’s why lottery winners go broke quickly. Consistently making the right decisions beats luck on a long enough timeline.

Congratulations to him. I don’t know the man, so I can’t comment on how smart he is or isn’t. I think it’s perfectly reasonable to suspect his son is biased when talking about him, but whatever.

That’s one I don’t think I’ve heard before. Where are these secret vegan massacres of animals taking place, who are the victims, and how are they being so successfully covered up?
