Why Australians Are the Luckiest People in the World

I know several who have. A few of them have been forumosa members.
One started a thread on how to do so. Another one wrote a book about his military service in Taiwan. Another ran for election after naturalizing.
One did so as he wanted to head his own architecture firm in Taiwan which also required passing licensing.

Of course you not being knowledgable about these things is not surprising. So much of the discourse you offer on threads here has been proven to have a very limited perspective.

You remind me of another forum member who goes into threads to talk about the USA when the threads have nothing to do with the USA.

Go ahead.

US publishes a list.

I said you’d be hard pressed.

And what do you care? You’re not Australian. :open_mouth:

Are you sure about that?

He claims to have naturalized to ROC Chinese. I’m just going on what he said.

There are more than 80,000 Americans in Taiwan on any given day…

And to expatriate isn’t the same as naturalization. Hence the word “expatriate “

And there’s no way in hell you’re gonna convince anyone that an ROC Chinese passport is more valuable than an American passport…

Yes, and?

No one is trying to. But not everyone wants to be an American.

I agree but one has to ask why people are giving it up for an ROC one. There’s maybe something I’m missing and I started another thread

Probably a question for your countrymen but I would hazard a guess they have 0 plans to ever return to the US and they want to increase their rights in the place they live

Let’s say that’s true - life is still long. Personally I had no intention of returning stateside ever…and yet…

Also there are hundreds of guns pointed at the island of Taiwan. Nothing like a war zone to make people think twice about staying.

One benefit again from being American is that the marines would come for us should poop hit the fan. Maybe not right away haha buuut

And if you’re ROC you’ll prolly have to stick around and fight the commies. Houzzah!

Australians are the luckiest people alive… because they aren’t Americans.

Many Americans will pretend to be Canadians when traveling abroad.

Well I wasn’t hard pressed. You made a comment and you were wrong yet again.

The generic “you”. Not you specifically lol.

Jeez we fighting over semantics?

What’s with all the roadblocks…just keep the conversation going…

The disingenuous replies…yikes

American Yankee with fake Aussie accent: “Australia is so high tech that you don’t have to take your laptop out of your bag at airport security.”

We prefer the term seppies, thank you.

Oh, lucky Australia, more things that want to kill them!

I used to keep one as a pet. They are quite friendly really.
