Yeah, well done TL, we’re getting there!
There are other high end Chinese food than shark fins and abalone.
And abalone can be really good. Shark fins are quite blah though.
I went to an “All you can eat” Chinese buffet in a retail park next to a (at the time) scruffy
London commuter town about 15 years ago. They had these puff ball things with crayfish-esque claws hanging out the side, looked awful and smelt fucking hideous.
I can’t remember what I ate but I barfed it up before leaving the premises.
I thought in Malasysia and Singapore Inidan food is good. I found the Chinese food in that region in general not so good (there are some dishes I like though)
Chinese food in Europe is mostly a mixed menu with Indonesian, especially in the Netherlands and Belgium, Germany.
I found in Germany its sometimes Viet-Chinese food, with Vietman pho the item I liked the most.
Go to Nepal. They say about themselves to be like Indians but clean xD
Just go to M$&S, I thought good for prepared home meal

Chicken tikka masala is commonly believed to have been invented in Britain, although by Bengali chefs, which really muddies the waters over who claims own…
haha, funny vid, saying China is in Japan??
Found a place in Vestal last year that seemed good (spouse confirmed) southern Chinese. I was going to recommend, but looks like it has shuttered.
Anyway, it would be a couple hour trek from capital city.
