Google is one’s friend.

I think the OP is trying to create a “buzz”.

Hi Everyone,

Yuma SouthWestern Grill is at ZhongXiao East Road, Section 4, Lane 216, Alley 11, #21. Right next door to Alleycat’s and Toasteria.

Yuma is has an Opening Shindig on Saturday November 8 from 5-9PM.

As thanks for your support for my previous venture Alleycat’s, I’d like to extend an invitation to 25 of you I haven’t already invited.

If you’d like to come by, send me an email at alan@yumasouthwesterngrill.com

Thanks,

Alan

How I wish I could have made that one. I’ll be there soon, though.

How come I wasn’t invited?

All the best, Yuma!

HG

Because you’re a wanker (notice how I didn’t specify “Australian wanker,” you transcend nationality).

Sounds like a damn fine establishment. I’ll be sure to check it out when I’m up in the big bad city (and I’m reasonably sober).

Thanks to all who came last night and for your help in making our opening a success.

We’ll be ironing out a few kinks over the next three days and we’ll be open for business on Wednesday.

Again, thanks for your support,

Alan

Yuma is OPEN for regular business. Our hours are 12-11PM. Last food orders at 10PM and last drinks at 10:30PM.

In addition to our menu we serve Southwestern-Style Wraps from 12-5PM EVERYDAY.

I’ll be posting a menu on our site soon.

Thanks again for the support last night and I hope you enjoyed the Happy Hour.

Best,
Alan

Where did they develop their sense of Yuma? I will try to go again today, before they catch on and get crowded all the time like the Diner.

Great review Stray Dog, sure makes me want to go check out Yuma and hope to soon.

One thing about this:

It’s really a bad idea to give bones of any kind to dogs. I used to do this myself and asked my vet about it who emphatically said “no bones of any kind to dogs period”, they can easily choke on them. So I would advise trimming the meat from the bones and giving dogs their treat sans bones.

Been looking for good ribs myself lately so looking forward to a sampling soon.

Hey, Dark Horse.

Many thanks for the suggestion.

Raw bones are essential to a dog’s good health, but cooked bones are the ones that cause problems, as they can break into sharp pieces and aren’t easily broken down by the dog’s digestive system. All my dogs, and the 60+ dogs and dozen or so cats at the Animals Taiwan Rescue Centre are fed whole, raw chicken, fish, lamb, etc. bone and all (without bone, the diet becomes seriously lacking).

Having said that, the ribs Yuma gave my dogs were indeed cooked, and I had to weigh it all up. Now, many dogs are fed nothing but cooked bones their whole life, with no ill effect. In fact, the chances of a problem occurring are very small, but when they do occur, it’s with cooked bones.

Given than my dogs are accomplished bone crunchers, and that the chances of problems are so small, and that this in one meal in a thousand, I gave them the ribs knowing I was taking a risk, albeit a very small one. I weighed it up against the benefits they would get from having the cooked pork (I never give raw pork), and also that it would be an exciting treat for them.

But, to anybody else, I always advise never giving cooked bones of any kind. Raw bones, however, are the basis of a healthy diet for adult and aging dogs and growing pups.

Cheers!

Sean

They have the MBRs working there too?

 Sometimes one forgets and it takes a jolt like this to remember that contrary to appearances, Loretta actually has a brain that sometimes works.

Short but sweet. I like your blog. Nicely done. I’ll be keeping an eye on it.

Forumosa translation - “I’ll be stalking you.”

Blliao,
Welcome to forumosa and thanks for your review. Yuma is going on my “places to eat at when I get to civilisation list.”
