But my point is, I have to be in tip top shape to counter people’s concerns.
B) is an example of someone that might have concerns. People have concerns you aren’t going to like.
One, you can point it out to me all you want, but I let varying opinions to do so. It’s not an echo chamber, it will never be an echo chamber. Rule breaking posts are dealt with. If you can’t handle differing opinions, to me, I wonder how you will react when Taiwanese people express differing opinions.
One recently asked why they should give up the beneficial arrangement. There are many people in Taiwan who are OK with discrimination if it benefits them.
You keep coming back to @comfy123 and @anon24369109. You’re missing the point. In this fight, you are eventually going to deal with members of the public who are not going to be on board immediately and if you are not able to act in a way that respects their differing view while learning their sides and concerns, you are going to fail cause you need their support just as much as the ones that have been supportive to you so far. I’m happy you have found supportive people, but there are 24 million people here in this country.
Did you not say this? Given that I was already sworn at once today, It leaves me questioning if this is being done to locals that also say things that counter what you say. If anyone swears at me, I definitely won’t help them.
I haven’t mentioned them once. I keep saying Taiwanese people and you keep coming back to them. I keep telling you in real life you are going to encounter those with different opinions.
Painting people with the same brush is still painting people with the same brush.
There are people who don’t see an issue with discrimination against others.
There are people who don’t like SEAsians because they’re browner.
Numerous Taiwanese business owners/managers see no issue with workers’ rights violations.
They certainly don’t seem to think pedestrians have many rights.
They’re people. Your mileage will vary. Many people will not ‘see when something is not right’. You might have to educate persistently.
They’re people. Is it possible that your sample size has a bias? Are you talking to Yilanian farmers? Are you talking to old ladies that push carts full of recycling to the scrapyard? Etc…
They have been. But if you are unable to tolerate their opinions, then are you tolerating those who disagree with you in the real world too?
That’s not the only thing I do.
Please stop making this personal.
They have the right to have an opinion.
Well you can’t get that. You’re one person and you can’t ask 24 million people.
Backseat moderating is against the rules. Everyone start learning to tolerate each other.
