Is this the same as being talked about here?

Why only APRC holders? There are a lot of people who go directly from ARCs to citizenship who this affects, right? There are also people who are currently on ARCs through marriage.

They would be eligible for citizenship before they are eligible for APRC.

But the fact they would have to renounce might make them stay on the spousal ARC.

Exactly.
Why only APRC.
Include ARCers.

Coz that’s to start with, in a very Confucian way. To get a foot in the door.

Well, this is also to get ppl starting talking about this, I have plans indeed.

I do see many here talking talking talking and wanting everything, what r u ppl doing about it? I am contributing actively to the campaign (monetarily and with collaboration) and also will do my own thing when the time comes.

Pray tell, what are others here doing about it?

Yes this is the choice put to people. Would be nice to allow dual citizenship for all after 5 years of residency on work ARC marriage ARC and APRC. Plum blossom ARC don’t need to renounce.

Taiwan requires most foreigners to give up their nationality if they want to get Taiwanese citizenship. A campaign now aims to change that demand.

Not one sales pitch whatsoever.

not selling anything though, there is no payment required. This is a citizens/residents initiative

When I mean sales, I don’t mean payment. What I mean is selling the idea, IE, some form of convincing them that this is good for them too.

They haven’t made an attempt to tell Taiwanese people why it’s good for them too.

if you feel offended, report the issue to an admin (I think you are one yourself), you can remove if you feel this is against the rules.

we are starting to do that tomorrow with our launch even at the NTNU.

I didn’t mention anywhere that I took offence. I didn’t even mention any of my feelings about it.

What are you talking about? Are you sure you’re understanding my posts correctly?

not really then, pray tell (sorry, my brain a bit fried atm).
