One recently asked why they should give up the beneficial arrangement. There are many people in Taiwan who are OK with discrimination if it benefits them.

Here it is, I just searched it. I may have misquoted you a little in that it may have come from a normal Taiwanese not a politician. Either way… This is often the view.
