I remember partying in Nijmegen in the late 90s with some hometown friends of mine who were there on exchange for a semester…Spent four days there (took me 10 to recover) and killed a few million brain cells.
I remember this pub which consisted of like 20 different rooms which were decorated like old parlour rooms…a real cool place to booze, booze, and booze.
I remember mixing three types of mushrooms (my college years 
) and feeling very paranoid at some casino a few blocks from our pad. Most of all, I just remember drinking, smoking, and eating lots of snacks.
My friends started the year taking 5 courses at the uni in town…By the end of the year, they were just taking one…waste of a year academically, but they had a lot of fun.

A Chewy Fox in the henhouse. This town does party hard. Taht pub is likely gone…not heard of nor been too … in the 7 years I’ve been coming here. Will do the research and get you a name chewy…jsut as soon as these shrooms wear off and its safe to go outside.

It was in the main square of town…If I remember correctly there were like 5 or 6 clubs/pubs in a row…this place had many different rooms – all with their own bar…lots of old fashioned decorations, plush seats etc.
It should be easy to get the history and find out waht happened to your Dutch party palace. I do drink with some hard partying local rednecks…and thier youth was no different.

There are over two hundred pubs and bars in the cith center…or damn close to it. A city of a population of 150K…hell the whole center is one big bar, I suspect Chewy was actually bar hoping and did not realize it.

Nijmegen isn’t in Holland, but in Gelderland. Just saying…
Well, maybe you are partly right, but Nijmegen and the local team NEC, are represented during the World Cup by the Holland team. Many English people might remember the England-Holland match in Wembley when Holland won by two goals of Mr Jan Peters, in those days playing for NEC-Nijmegen.
