30 kids can congregate in a classroom but others will only be limited to 6. The UK ‘strategy’ (if there is one) really is a shambles. I actually think that a shambolic strategy isn’t terrible (assuming they don’t panic and lock down again), because an effective vaccine probably won’t materialise so the sooner countries get to some kind of herd immunity the better. A slightly more controlled and focused move towards this goal would have been preferable. London may well have already reached limited herd immunity. Studies of the slums of Mumbai would be great at supposedly over 50% of people there now have antibodies.

I think the U.K. government is banking on some sort of herd immunity and using local lockdowns where needed. I also think whatever they do going forward is going have minimal impact, the damage has been done, with the weak initial response.
The number of positive cases has shot up recently, but deaths are still Very low. Let’s see what happens over the next few weeks.
They’re banking on just about holding things together until there’s a vaccine, like many nations.
Low death rates across many countries is a very interesting development. Could be partly down to higher levels of testing, particularly of young people.
