I m a french man and currently living in Kaohsiung.
i’m a research assistant in environmental fields (quality, microbiology, toxicology…)with a master degree, and would like to find a new job in company.
Is someone knows the conditions to get a job here in Taiwan? I already have ARC and i have intermediate chinese language level.

Best English sites for finding non-teaching Jobs?

Hi, I have a master’s degree in Journalism and am looking for a writing/editing/proofreading/marketing/advertising job in Taipei. I worked in this field in Taiwan before and had no problems with work visas. Just been working as a teacher for 3 years and not really interested in that kind of work right now. Unfortunately I can’t read Mandarin that well. Can someone recommend some English job-search sites other than, of course, this one? Thanks!

Looking for a job with very little chinese skills

Hey guys, i just moved to Taiwan from Germany with a working holiday visa. I am a native German and my girlfriend is from Taiwan. We live in Kaohsiung, and i am wondering if anyone could help me finding a job. I am willing to do any job, but my chinese skills are not very good yet. Does anyone know where to get a job around Kaohsiung? I could imagine to teach German, but i don’t have any profession or degree. Thanks in advance!

Getting a job in Taiwan with foreign master's degree

Hey. How is the job market in Taiwan for a foreigner with a master’s degree in computer science from Europe(Finland in this case)? I actually asked this question a while ago on other site and received very different kinds of answers. I don’t have any firsthand knowledge of this subject, but here’s a three-page thread from 2012 that has the title “Finding life science related jobs in Taiwan”:

I don’t know whether or how much things may have changed in that employment field in Taiwan since 2012.

Since that last post I realised there are many more companies out there in the sensor and diagnostic fields (mostly exporters of course). Of course there are many chemical companies too.
Most local environmental service companies will probably not hire a foreigner and pay wouldn’t be too good either. But you never know. Probably some importers and distributors may be interested.

You can’t just say ‘I want to get a job’.
What type of job do you want? What are your skills and experience? Do you have an open work permit?
