from the website (google translated):
I got the Titanium Business Merchant card.
Just gave company name no other details apart from my own name and ID number. ( citizen )
Was given NT$250k credit limit.
I hope for you that you’re missing a “k” there…
Yeah was posting and site went haywire.
Costco accepted a non-co-branded Cathay credit card as well as debit cards. I’m hoping that will continue with Fubon. I’ve got a Fubon debit card and I’ve been dying to order online.
Three card types are basically;
- Costco standard membership (Titanium)
- Costco black membership (Titanium Merchant)
- Dumb (World Card) unless you do a LOT of flying and parking at the airport.
C001 ~ Credit card with your photo on it
C002 ~ Credit card with You-You card feature and your photo on it
C003 ~ Credit card with no photograph
C004 ~ Credit card with You-You card feature and no photograph
Annual fees are, standard card 1800, Black 3,000 and Dumb 5000. Standard and black have various usage discounts that can reduce (to zero) the annual fee, dumb card does not.
How about Fubon’s standard credit cards (non-Costco)?
Which one to get?
Finally got around to applying for the new card last holiday weekend. Got a message from Fubon the week before last with a link to this page, [台北富邦銀行 辦卡進度 (taipeifubon.com.tw)] https://ccpg.taipeifubon.com.tw/progress_check.html)
and on entering the required information got this;
Ignored it however got a couple of follow up messages and no card so asked the next time I was in Costco, rep couldn’t help but suggested contacting their helpline through the phone at the Fubon ATM. Person on the line couldn’t help but said they would have someone call me. Went for a swim and came back to 3 missed calls and a message saying to call them as they wouldn’t be bothering to try again. Ignored it until getting another message on Friday, with another link to that site so decided better try again. Called the number given in their system and it leads to a nightmare of automated dead ends. Eventually got through to someone who, after a long check, said they couldn’t see anything wrong with the application in their system and in fact the card had been put in the post that very day, received a text message with the post office tracking information after the call. The sceptic in me says someone f’ked up and it was only on calling them that anything happened or that they are completely overwhelmed and only dealing with the noisy cogs. Will see what I receive this week however the process does not bring confidence of actually being able to get in touch with Fubon in a hurry should the need arise.
FUBON must be watching the forum! Just received this email;

Fairly sure I put the application in on the weekend of June 24th rather than July 6th…
Pretty sure it’s the day the request was registered on their system not the day you filled in the papers.
I’m sure it is too, however there’s nearly a 2 week gap between the 2 events. Likely someone is gaming the KPI in order to meet the turnaround time targets.
they r swamped with applications due to the 8-Aug deadline coming up, when the switch will happen.
Anybody get a Fubon card without reapplying? Why do I need to reapply when they should have all my information.
coz it’s another bank which has not acquired or been acquired. so data of clients cannot be transferred.
U need to reapply, this is for clients’ data safety.
Last time my Costco US card went from American Express to Citibank. I did not have do anything.
Cuius regio, eius religio (aut lege) different countries, different laws.
For this, I prefer TW way.
Yes many people only applying very late. My wife’s personal application was done and she got her personal card in about 8 days. I applied for the Wholesale Titanium Business Card but was advised it would take longer and yes I took around 2 weeks. No doubt many people are waiting till the last weeks to apply.
Thank you for your answers to the people who are not aware of banks KYC and protecting their data.
It’s the simplified Chinese–that’s how you know it’s legit.
