On a separate issue, I was rather astonished to see in census and other descriptions in the US they actually have a category like white and white Latino.
Makes one wonder if they also have Chinese Latino, Taiwanese Latino, Cantonese Latino, Schezhuan Latino… Amerindian Latino? Afro Latino? I think in Spanish they are using something like Afrodescendiente or something like that.
Italian Latino. German Latino. Turkish Latino. Sigh.
And they leave it up to people to choose… Then complain when there is trouble. Double sigh.
