The “as shown on your Taiwan ID card” bit. If you registered as a foreign citizen, it should say “Please enter your name as per IC” instead. At least that’s what mine says. IIRC, you have to choose which you are when registering the Shopee account.
Yes, that’s an issue, and the basis of my complaint in the other thread. I complained to Shopee about it 18 months ago, and they decided they’d prefer to continue with the discrimination. Need to file some more official complaints soon.
I fund the issue with the “IC card” etc difference. I had my language set to Chinese, with it being translated by a browser plugin. When changing the language to English it says IC card.
What I don’t get is why they had me go through a long process of collecting my ID card pictures and info, recording it all correctly, and now act like my name isn’t on file. It was a much longer process than this simple two-field form so why the two-field form?..
Also not sure why the order page has my name listed as LASTFIRST when I have the correct formatting both in the mentioned process an don my account profile.
The Shopee real-name registration and linking to EZWay are two different steps. I’m not sure why either, but they are.
I wouldn’t worry about this part so much. I guess it’s just pulling the info from those fields and writing them in the Chinese order rather than using a different order for foreigners. The main issue you have is not having a Chinese name.
You’re more than welcome to join me in complaining. The more the merrier.
I gave up on one of those. I tried English, various combinations of first/middle/last, then the Chinese characters registered with EZ Way from my APRC, nothing worked. Just gave and bought from elsewhere.
Late to the party. It wasn’t a hole in the screen, it’s an entire plastic bracket in the corner. Even worse, I eventually had to delete and open a new account and finally got the brackets, so they were about 1mm too big and didn’t fit correctly, and hammering it in broke the other good bracket, so looks like I have no choice but to try to find a window screen repair shop.
Has anyone had any luck verifying their account? Have a few things I’m trying to get rid of so finally decided to try and verify my account. For the name their is a pretty short character limit so I can’t list my English name, and my ARC doesn’t have a Chinese name on that. Also for the I.D. it’s mentions something about 初發, 煥發, 補發 which I’m not sure what that is, so when I try to verify it says it fails.
EDIT: Nevermind, don’t be dumb like me and just select your country/region to your home country, not Taiwan then you can use your ARC. Also apparently the sequence ID is the number next to the barcode…never knew that. First time I’ve ever been asked for that info.
hi, I would like to find this seller who is selling on Shopee. Since I’m not in Taiwan I’m not able to contact this seller [俗俗賣原廠零件]. it would be a great help if anyone could find their LineID, WeChat, or any other source where I can contact them directly.
Company name: 俗俗賣原廠零件
Company registration no.: 85696228
Representative: 吳明峰
Address: 屏東縣屏東市太平里中正路177-1號3樓

There’s a phone number outside the store and an owner photo with a Line QR code that doesn’t work for me. If you speak Chinese you could try calling them I suppose, though it’s a motorbike dealer in Pingtung and I wouldn’t necessarily expect English service.
Thank you for the reply , I already have the account but I can not send any message to the seller nor I can place order because I don’t have taiwan number, is there any way I can get the Taiwan number ?
So does Shopee not have the “chat” button if you sign up without a Taiwanese number?
I don’t know how you’d go about getting a Taiwanese number from outside Taiwan. Would it be worth it though? It just looks to be a regular Yamaha dealership - I think you’d have to be looking for something quite specific to justify that kind of effort?
This dealer sells original Yamaha parts , which is quite cheaper compare to Hong Kong . If he can send directly to Hong Kong via SF express it would be a great deal , not only him but any other dealer , since I’m not able to use the message option in the shopee I don’t have any choice and I can’t find any supplier
You can register a credit card or debit card to the app and it works the same way essentially. But yeah, I noticed the other payment by bank transfer method was removed from some repeat purchases I make.
You will need to upload your bank information to this shoppee account (Your bank account name & ID number with which you opened your bank a/c with MUST match with the name & a/c number with which you opened the shoppee account). After Shoppee have verified the details, you’ll be able to transfer the wallet’s amount to your bank account.
it only had the home delivery option, annoyingly, so i chose that. Why not just offer the goddamn store pickup option on everything? for fucks sake. anyhow.
to the best of my understanding, that will be delivered to the address - in this case my work address, as I thought I might have to have it delivered there, house mailbox small - require sign-off (?), and then I can go into like a shopee location / an ibon and pay it off? I don’t have a credit card for reasons this forum is all too familiar with so…
I ordered some things for delivery to a nearby Shopee store. It turns out there are no people working there. There is a machine and some instructions on using QR code or an app on how to pay and then presumably one of the lockers will open with my stuff.
I gave up. I am going to ask sellers to let me buy it again to send to 7 or Family.
