He’s kind of OK though, don’t you think JD?
Who? Biden?
Under what form of measurement? He’s accomplished nothing legislatively. He’s unilaterally signed a stack of executive orders and done little but talktalktalk about race relations when he is one of the biggest causes of the problems in the black and brown communities with the Crime Bill of the 90s.
So, Imma go with no…he’s not alright. And I didn’t even mention the nepotistic graft industry his family has run parallel to his political career.

New Trump. Same as the old Trump:
While the Trump administration inaugurated the original pushback against China by imposing sanctions, some speculated that the new Biden administration would moderate or even disavow Trump-era policy. Not only has this not occurred, but President Joe Biden has largely retained Donald Trump’s tough approach toward Beijing, with U.S. sanctions against China continuing to balloon in both scope and complexity.
Same as Obama did with W Bush’s terrible terrible policies that worked better than the nonsense the DNC campaigned on.
And not to bash the dems too much today. They used to be very good at solving people problems. Forcing everyone to change their minds is a stupid hard sell that will see little accomplished but money changing hands.
I’m going to watch this play out. I am a big fan of creating a sustainable all inclusive middle class across the world and I thikn Capitalism is the way to go. Now…if we do it without enslaving people and wrecking the climate we just might make it to Star Trek and then we take out all our aggression on friggin Klingons.
Thoughts?
State sponsored price fixing.
The problem though is the only economic advantage the 60 or so low tax countries have over the 130 or so high tax countries is their low tax rates. Once that’s gone countries like Ireland will go back to being economic backwaters.
Terrible idea. One step closer to world government.
Look what sleepy/Stalin Joe gone and done now:
During a Wednesday press conference to promote his “Build Back Better” agenda, President > Biden pledged to end tax breaks for energy companies in the fossil-fuel business, raising $90 billion dollars in revenue for the federal government.
The president justified the proposal as it would “make polluters pay to clean up the messes they’ve made,” seemingly nodding to oil spills, natural gas leaks, and other mishaps.
“We’re not asking them to do anything that is unfair. We’re just not going to subsidize them anymore, they’re doing well thank you,” Biden said in reference to the oil conglomerates.
Who is this maniac, propelling us recklessly into the future? Also very callously cheeky of him in that last line, words matter Joe!
Taiwan isn’t one of them.
Like the UN was?
So? Doesn’t mean they don’t support it.
At least the ability of the UN to do harm is limited by its massive incompetence.
I’d expect nothing less from the global tax. However, the UN has done a few good things wrt vaccinations and feeding starving people. But yeah, it’s budget is bloated and the red tape puts the DMV to shame.
However, and as I said, IDK much about the global tax proposed and how they would be utilized, focusing more on growing the global middle class is a good thing over all.
It would hard to put together an accurate account of good vs. bad in terms of the UN, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they’ve done more harm than good in the final reckoning.
Let’s raise taxes to grow the middle classes. That sounds like some pretty wonky math to me.
We built the interstate high system in the US and then McDonalds set up shop at every exit.
Again, I’ll have to read up…maybe start a thread on it.
My hackles do go up a bit when the US talks about reducing the world’s tax havens when we have only worked to be the world’s biggest and best tax haven in the past few decades.
But if this is the new world order, I’d still prefer the US to wield the most influence. That way we can focus on important things to us, like is an Oreo cookie racist or simply misunderstood?
Agree. The hypocrisy is off the charts on this one. And of course good old Shell Company Biden played his part.
Delaware and Wyoming. Yup.
IOTW, you got nothing.
