Let's talk about Trump

All kinds of intersectional stuff going on.

Trumps response, not that it excuses having an opt out policy for repeated donations, that is kind of scummy.

That letter is disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. Trump stresses how is a big winner and how the election was rigged more than the issue at hand: how he ripped off his supporters by deceit. Trump is just such a sad case of a human being. Everything you raise your kids not to be.

Itā€™s sadder to fall for it though. This ainā€™t some bright eyed salesman who just trotted into town.

But I guess if one ignores all available information and plugs their ears, he seems like a new feller around these parts? Could have happened to anyone?

The direct effects of MAGA and Trumps xenophobia and wratcheded up anti immigrant mania over the past half decade:

I wonder if at some point this will render him completely irrelevant?

Eh. Dark patterns are a thing and they work. And work with a lot of people. Itā€™s like everyone seems to think advertising doesnā€™t work on them.

And beyond that, his messagingā€¦ thereā€™s some classic approaches at work thereā€¦

I think it goes hand in hand a bit with social media, and the fact it gives everyone a platform, therefore many think their opinions have equal merit footing, etc etc. It raises up peopleā€™s opinions of themselves, creates egomonsters who have all the strings in the correct position on the basement whiteboard.

Sounds kinda like democracy, doesnā€™t it?

If there is going to be some platform for reasonable (if not necessarily faultless) disagreement based on merit, how can that be accomplished without respect for the platform rules, without respect for educated opinions, and without respect for logic and rationality? Seems like all we would have left is the ego monsters.

Trumpā€™s non-stop personal attacks are a good example. Someone needs to stand up for the rules, or heā€™ll break them. Someone needs to stand up for experts, or heā€™ll slander them. Someone needs to stand up for reason, or we get alternative facts.

Sure, nothing wrong with having more people with a voice.

Unfortunately weā€™re in the part of the curve where too many of those people are driven by their own egoism, also the part where people take loud people with no expertise other than a camera, seriously.

People having voices is great, them thinking having one makes them smart, or people thinking them having one makes them an authority, well, you know.

Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America
So many people would like to thank the brave and patriotic Republican State Senators from Arizona for the incredible job they are doing in exposing the large scale Voter Fraud which took place in the 2020 Presidential Election. Their tireless efforts have led to a massive recount, ballot examination, and full forensic audit, undertaken by experts retained by the State Senate, with results to be announced within six weeks. The Democrats, upon hearing the news of the Court Order, have sent 73 lawyers to Arizona in an effort to stop this recount and full transparency because THEY KNOW WHAT THEY DID! The Democrats are desperate for the FRAUD to remain concealed because, when revealed, the Great States of Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, New Hampshire, and the Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, would be forced to complete the work already started. The Arizona recount and examination will be on live TV (OAN) for all to watch. Why are the Democrats so desperate to stop this Election Fraud from being revealed? That answer is obvious! The Governor of Arizona, Doug Ducey, has been shockingly of zero help to the State Senate. He wants to ā€œpretendā€ the election was free and fair. What are he and the Maricopa County Commissioners trying to hide? Our country needs the truth of the scam 2020 Election to be exposed. If it is not, just as if we have ā€œno borders,ā€ we cannot be a Great Nation. Honest elections are Americaā€™s Heart and Soul. We must never allow this to happen to our Great Country again. Thank you State Senators and others in Arizona for commencing this full forensic audit. I predict the results will be startling!

Boohoo :grinning::grinning::grinning: atleast the terrorist leader and someone who hates the US has been silenced on 1 platform.

All caps, the classic symbol of truth and strength. This dude is just a hop, skip and jump away from writing Nigerian scam emails.

Could be worse. Could be haikus.

The Federal Election Commission in Washington, D.C., has totally dropped the phony case against me concerning payments to women relative to the 2016 Presidential Election. It was a case built on lies from Michael Cohen, a corrupt and convicted lawyer, a lawyer in fact who was so corrupt he was sentenced to three years in jail for lying to Congress and many other things having nothing to do with me. I thank the Commission for their decision, ending this chapter of Fake News. Between two sleazebag lawyers, Michael Avenatti and Michael Cohen, we were all able to witness law and justice in our Country at its lowest!

Famous last words from the Orange Nigerian Prince?

His writing style screams pathological liar (among many other things).
