Yesterday i was in Hsinchu, the city of the girl i left my country for and come here. I couldnt resist but text her while i was about to take the HSR back to Taipei. After 6 years since we last spoke before she broke things with me in her angry voice, she replied to my text asking me how i was doing. I told her i was fine even though i wasnt (Hard to be okay when nostalgia hits). Anyway, she told me she has been married for 3 years and recently had a child . I congratulated her and that was the end of it.
The whole journey back, i was getting hit again and again with the memories of the past,. How things used to be, how i used to be, how we used to be. and how i have changed. One part of me longs for the past, other do not wish for it and yet emotions are complicated.
I have never been married so i cant relate to the feeling of divorce, But i can relate to the feeling of lost love, losing the one u really wanted, the one who is living a life u wished was with you.
Eventually i reached Taipei, and life goes on as usual and we live and we learn and keep the hopes for a better future alive.
What most men don’t understand about women is when they start trying to push you around and disrespect you it’s a test. That’s how they determine if you’re really strong enough to rely on for protection and worthy of having offspring with. If you fail the test that’s when they start eyeing the door and it’s only a matter of time before they disappear thru it.
Society has always been kinder on women compared to men and much more willing to give them a shoulder in their heartbroken moments compared to men.
Women also move on quicker because of that and they usually always have more options available.
I always feel men with their repressed emotional side often suffer in silence
Considering that men typically expend more of their time, money, and effort into the relationship it makes sense that the man would value the relationship more than the woman.
I agree not intentionally dragging the kids into the fight, but more often than not women will use the children as a weapon to get back at their ex or to extort more from them.
Be polite and courteous, but understand when kindness is interpreted as weakness. Never display weakness. Weakness invites aggression and it will be handed to you in spades.
This is why mental health for men is so important. It seems we’re stuck in this vortex of gender equality except when it comes to defying male tropes like not expecting men to always be stoic. We’re supposed to be emotionless robots (as well as expected to know how to fix everything in the house even if we have no natural ability for handiwork).
I think it’s good yu hit her up and got the straight scoop
That will free your soul
For me my first wife was the biblical example of persecution , adultery ,deceit and other sins
I still thought it was horrible how it all came to divorce
Until one day she said she got a new cellphone
They were expensive back in the day
And asked me to help her get set up
I ended up bricking her phone albeit temporarily
And the vehemence with which she spat vitriol and venom at me made me realize my whole value as a human being was less than the value of one Motorola cell fone to her
Well, after the Me2 movement, the constant vilification of men, “no means no, unless I want it to mean yes”, and the threat of being plastered all over social media for clout there shouldn’t be any surprise why western men are afraid of western women.
At its core, the deep rage western women have towards men really started when abortion became commonplace. They don’t know who to blame for the deep psychic pain that destroying their unborn child(ren) has caused them so they blame the easiest target.
