Mexican Food in Taipei

My hubby and I chatted with the owner. The tortilla process is intense. Most places use instant masa harina and very few have the ability to make Masa from corn.

Never mind the freebie hot sauce promotion … I’d like to get some of that masa they’re apparently making.

I asked to buy some masa but the owner said it’s so labor intensive they don’t have enough extra to sell. I asked for tamales with their chorizo to appear on the menu soon.

Went to new Teotihuacan location and thought was fantastic

I was there just yesterday.
Still good!

All prior Twinkeyz endorsements are hereby recalled. They are good, but it ain’t Mexican.

:ponder:
What changed?

No Mexican spices. Tastes like Taiwanese food in a tortilla. It’s unique, not bad though.

I used to think it was quite authentic, but that is when they first opened. :unamused:

I heard Eddy’s Cantina has unlimited tacos on Thursday’s evenings. I find it a little hard to believe. What’s the catch? Does anybody know?

You can ask @Eddy_LIVE directly!

Masa. I like the corn taste. Really like the chorizo taco, the others were good taste, good quality, but seemed to lack pizazz.

I think Eddy Cantine its one the best honestly

I’ve never had a marvelous margaritas in tw. Strangely enough though, one of the best Rita’s I ever had was in Singapore. Go figure.

Dunno if it has been mentioned but Luca is doing a soft opening of a taco place in Xindian. Small and cozy and good tacos every day for lunch or dinner. It’s a 7 minute walk from Xindian City Government station.

Shame they ran out of plates and had to serve tacos in a paddle.

That’s the traditional way. Fits more.

anyone know if they’re open today?

Masa always crowded.
