Peak MAGA thread

During the worst part of the NYC pandemic.

Are two media people coordinating? Who cares if they are?

A CNN reporter coordinated with the DNC during an election…no harm no foul.

"Okay, Oceania is actually not “at war with Eastasia”, and has not “always been at war with Eastasia”, but “a huge percentage… totally think it’s believable” and it’s “unfortunately a sign of where we are that so many of us just presume that level of disrespect.” "

Latest outrage of woke Harvard students, from National Review:

Viewpoint neutrality should be legally mandated

What have the SJWs been up to now?

When a sample of nearly 1,500 female Ivy League students was asked whether they would date a Trump supporter, only 6 percent said yes (after excluding the small minority of the sample who support him).

Outright discrimination! Those female students should be forced by law to go out with right-wing males (why don’t they now, other than the fact that the conservaives are creeps whose idea of a date is to put on matching MAGA hats and “Fuck your Feelings” T-shirts and go to a Trump rally?)

A reminder of the rules @MikeN1 I don’t step in every time a sweeping statement like this is made but you know there are conservatives on this site, although not nearly as many as some of the progressives imagine. If you keep making generalized inflammatory comments which you know will cause offense I will assume that is your intent, they also result in tit for tat types of exchanges where Democrats are generalized and similar derogatory remarks are made which are then hard to moderate as I get the “whatabout @MikeN1’s comment”. So please be a little mindful to keep to the spirit of the rules please.

Strictly speaking, sweeping statements about entire groups of people are NOT considered personal attacks. However, they are often inflammatory and counterproductive and the moderators have broad discretion to remove such posts in the interests of keeping the peace on the message board.

Yet more foolproof, totally moderate MAGAreasoning:

Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Tuesday compared President Joe Biden’s push to vaccinate Americans to the Nazi regime, weeks after apologizing for comparing other COVID-19 restrictions to the Nazis.

“Biden pushing a vaccine that is NOT FDA approved shows covid is a political tool used to control people,” the far-right congresswoman tweeted on Tuesday. “People have a choice, they don’t need your medical brown shirts showing up at their door ordering vaccinations. You can’t force people to be part of the human experiment.”

The brownshirts were a paramilitary organization that played an integral role in Adolf Hitler’s rise to power in the 1920s and 1930s by “violently enforcing party norms and attempting to influence elections,” according to the US Holocaust Memorial Museum. The actions of brownshirts in the 1930s directly led to the genocide of six million Jews, roughly two-thirds of Europe’s Jewish population.

She shoud have led and stopped with that. But really, why are you following a n00b politician who wields zero power? Ah right…the narrative.

So by default should I ask what Mad Maxine has been up to lately?

Marjorie Taylor Greene is the AOC of the right, her and the other one, Lauren Boebert and a couple of others like Matt Gaetz make up the squad on the right.

It’s really why I ignore them for the most part. Do nothings.

Unlike the Squad: 18 of the last 100 posts in the AOC thread are by you, 25 of the last 100 in the Omar thread.

But really, why are you following a n00b politician who wields zero power? Ah right…the narrative.

Speaking of Lauren Boebert:

“There are two nations created for God’s glory – Israel and the United States of America,” Boebert said. “We stand strongly with Israel.”

She went on to say how she was thinking of the Founding Fathers that morning and how they “dared to go against the King of England. They had faith in God and each other,” she said.

“We will not back down until we have everything God has promised us,” Boebert said. “We are an army for everything that Jesus has purchased for us and our children, and our children’s children.

“It’s not a coincidence that Independence Day is on a Sunday this year.”

https://coloradotimesrecorder.com/2021/07/no-coincidence-boebert/37875/

That’s only 34 out of 235 times since American independence that July 4 has fallen on Sunday which is, um… 1 out of 7! It’s a miracle.

Dude. I don’t go looking for them. They just appear in the feedbag. Also, I don’t much care one way or another. It is good to keep records though. :idunno:

Dude. I don’t go looking for them. They just appear in the feedbag.

Which is actually true though. Maybe you or those other chaps who spend so much time thinking about my posting are poor at efficiently sorting through information, doesn’t mean I am. I certainly don’t follow her.

I think you might be reaching into your bag a lot more than I am, and projecting now.

Good on Mike for pointing it out, personally I notice it too, but have better things to do in my day than mention how I think you or anyone else should spend their time, I suppose. Your hobbies are your own, and I respect that.

Why do I post them? Because MAGA stuff is almost always funny, that’s why.

who wields zero power?

As you like to say, bullshit.

Because the majority of GOP likes her, they may pay lip service to her nutso comments, but take no action. Because the majority of the GOP has gone full MAGA and don’t dare do anything to earn the ire of orange potato’s most dedicated fans. Logic. :brain:

This was from the LAST time she said holocaust stuff:

WASHINGTON, May 25 (Reuters) - U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a firebrand ally of former President Donald Trump, was broadly denounced by her fellow Republicans on Tuesday for likening COVID-19 masks and vaccinations to the Nazi Holocaust against the Jews.

But the party leadership made no mention of plans to take disciplinary action against her.

Well, she went to the Holocaust Museum and then apologized for her insensitive remarks.

That lasted less than a month.

In other news. this from the Republican Senator from Tennessee, Marsha Blackburn:

“Taylor Swift came after me in my 2018 campaign,” she said. “But Taylor Swift would be the first victim of that because when you look at Marxist-Socialist societies, they do not allow women to dress or sing or to be on stage or to entertain.”

No female singers in the Soviet Union, China, or Vietnam?
OTOH, this is probably true

Blackburn also warned Swift that if she succeeded in helping bring socialism to America, the government would have to “approve her music” before it could be released.

I am not sure that’s what the result would be if Blackburn were to be defeated by a Democrat, though.

I’m sure it cuts both ways

OK, and let’s assume that you don’t post every single piece you see about her and give me the same benefit of the doubt, shall we?

Yeah, that’s not logic.

Mo Brooks speech at CPAC

“Think for a moment about our ancestors who fought at Valley Forge,” Brooks continued, “They didn’t fight the British, they fought for survival.”

Partially true: false, in that there was no fighting at Valley Forge. True, in that they therefore didn’t fight the British.

“12,000 Continental soldiers arrived, five, six months later 2000 had died. Think about what they went through, burying your brothers, your fathers your sons, 10 to 15 a day, every day for six months.”

They died from disease and exposure, the most common causes of death in warfare at the time. In fact, George Washington introduced an order for mandatory inoculation (new and unproven ) from a contagious disease that resulted in widespread deaths, thus saving many lives. .

Tweet from JD Vance:

Serious question: I have to go to New York soon and I’m trying to figure out where to stay. I have heard it’s disgusting and violent there. But is it like Walking Dead Season 1 or Season 4?

Hey, any fellow jd’s and Marines (I understand there is no such thing as an ex-Marine) who live in New York, can you lend a hand? Apparently after serving in Iraq, JD (capitals) was too scared to travel the 1 1/2 hours/ 82 miles to NYC when he was doing his three years at Yale.

Or, he may be trying to convince the voters of Ohio that he’s not no Ivy League lawyer San Francisco vulture capitalist, no sirree.

P.S. The Walking Dead seasons 1 and 4 take place in Georgia.

#pulse+basicsenseofhumor

You mean JD doesn’t have either? I suspected as much.
