Nothing in Taipei all day

Really? Over in Songshan Dist here, nothing. We had a few, and I mean a few scattered sprinkles this afternoon.
Just a heads-up. There’s a storm brewing NE of Taiwan, about 175 km from Taipei. It could very well be our first 'phoon of the year! It’s got a 80 % chance of developing into a 'phoon. Check out www.typhoon.ph for details. You can clearly see the storm on the photo. If it develops, it’s probably going to be a biggie.
So there are now three storms:
(on the left in the above image) Lionrock (Florita) off to the west, heading to the S. China shore, although a couple of the models (Japan and HK) have it turning toward Taiwan, e.g. asiatcforecast.co.cc/?name=LIONROCK
(on right) Kompasu (Glenda) (08W) off to the distant east, currently forecast to aim between Taiwan and Japan, although this could change

Problem is we cannot take any water at all. Most places are still not ready, the rivers already running swollen. Any 2 day rain and we’re done.
??? We got water restrictions in Xizhi (Taipei County). Water pressure at night is really low. Wouldn’t mind a small phoon to get my water pressure back.
You might most likely end with no water at all when silt covers the pipes at the reservoir…
The one almost touching the north of Taiwan is a forming tropical cyclone (WYPN21)
There is also another system out on the east which may form and has good conditions, but is unlikely to be strong if it hits Taiwan as it is relatively near already. The storm I mentioned on Friday that would form and has now formed, and may hit Taiwan, was Tropical Storm 8 (Kompasu), but it looks like it will probably by-pass Taiwan.
The ECMWF usually has good predictions based on sea temperatures and current atmospheric conditions for storms and their tracks which have not yet materialised. I also find it more accurate than the JTWC.
And we are working diligently to solve this issue.
Got 1.25 inches of rain in the last hour here in Danshui. I have to go to class this afternoon, dang it! I guess it’s a no-shoes day, just flip-flops, and a rain poncho since an umbrella would be useless.
Loving the cooler weather, though, been so stinking hot this summer, nice to have coolness, even if it’s brought by typhoons.
