OK now I really don’t understand you. Is that referring to the former mountain kingdom of Sikkam, now part of India?

I am so confused. :runaway:

It’s not great, but if in the area for any other reason and wanting to take a walk, then enjoyable as relaxing, not many cars

Thank goodness! I was worried “SKM” was a Korean boy band I had not heard of.

Come on. That one is obvious.

And it’s where they sell SK-II cosmetics. The ones that YouTube keeps trying to peddle to me.

I love how they remind people to cover their belly buttons, but there’s nothing about wearing a hat. If your feet are cold, put on a hat.

It’s supposed to be a high of 28°C today

I was scrambling to find some shade and relief from the heat at noon! WTF is this weather.

I had to chase away some wild dogs from their shady spot at the beach so that I could use it. They looked like golden retrievers - large, not tame and bone thin. Good taste in spots though.

JAPAN: Avalanche warning issued

Officials yesterday warned of possible avalanches in the northern regions, as the mercury suddenly rose after two weeks of extreme snowfall that paralyzed traffic and collapsed houses. Sustained snow since late last month has buried northern communities such as Aomori under drifts of about 2m that left residents struggling to leave home, and forced schools and businesses to close. However, the temperature rose yesterday, reaching 8 C in Aomori, increasing the risk of chunks of heavy, wet snow dropping from rooftops, potentially causing injuries and even death, officials said. By yesterday, extreme snowfall had killed 35 people and caused 393 injuries across the country since Jan. 20, the Fire and Disaster Management Agency said. Many of the cases involve mounds of snow falling on residents from houses or people tumbling from their roofs while trying to clear it.
