Well, some people, like me, study on their own. I only studied at Cheng Da for 3 months. The rest of the time has been by myself, so I can’t give certificate proof of having studied Chinese for 18 months, although I have been studying for longer than that. Also, instead of the test you can do 200 hours at an elementary school at night with SE Asian brides etc, but I work nights and can’t go that route either.
Hence, for people like me, the only option is to take the test to prove I have some level of Chinese proficiency.
So, you have three options:
- 200 hours at an elementary school
- Provide certificates from accredited Chinese language centers proving you have studied Chinese for 18 months or more.
- Go it alone and take the test.
