Well, to be more accurate, according to the American politicos who the BBC have been interviewing over the last week or so. However, our news is indeed skewed by the partisan rhetoric spewing out of North America. 
It might look more mixed in the end if Lake and Walker prevail. But, the frame is starting to look tarnished for sure. Given it was cheap gold-painted tin to begin with, with lots of holes showing, many people may not mind though?
That is what is filtering through to the UK. Trump is being rejected by his own party. They’ve had enough of him.
I think the party had enough already 6 years ago 
But Trump has always defied these expectations because of his popular support. I wouldn’t count that out yet! Can a DeSantis say swing enough of it over to his side? I think he’s got a good shot. He may well look like the fun side in the end.
Indeed, there are not many outlets that look into what is going on with Trump supporters.
Who do you think the Trump supporters are targeting with their ire? They only hate the Democrats slightly more than the establishment Republicans. In fact many may respect a lot of the Democrats more than the establishment Republicans.
What’s mostly being told here is the mid terms are a fight for democracy vs the notion of a stolen election. And the stolen election crowd seem to be taking a killer beating.

But for these types, it’s not just a left/right fight. The GOPe types know they are being targeted and this is not Mitch McConnells first rodeo in tying to sabotage these groups.
Which was understood to be a dynamic in this election, McConnell is less afraid of being in the minority than he is to see a rising Trump contingent so will not only withhold supporting funds for Trump endorsed candidates, he will try to sabotage them. All the GOPe will, they know they are the intended victim.
That’s what I’ve always liked most about Trump…his sense of humor.
