The US Midterm Elections: 2022

A clip of it! I don’t know

The sly smile says yes. :slightly_smiling_face:

This is sort of a given. Decoupling will involve moving manufacturing to multiple different countries since not one labor market can replace China. Mexico already has a trade agreement, but where the Biden Admin is lagging is getting behind free trade agreements with other manufacturing countries in Asia. Europe already has many of these agreements in place.

Re-shoring everything to the US is a pipe dream without significant innovation in manufacturing processes, i.e. 3D to require less labor/assembly. We’ve exported deflation to China for decades, and much of the expertise has been lost as a result.

If Americans are struggling with inflation now, it would be much worse if we tried to force all manufacturing back.

Joke’s on you!

Incentivized Friendshoring to Mexico is the strategy

As long as I don’t have to live in a Democrat-run city like San Francisco, I’m fine.

Right but that’s a limited scope. Mexico is the only country south of the border truly capable of value-added production. And unfortunately it’s not big enough to replace China in just about any type of manufacturing.

Oklahoma City it is then.

Even worse weather than Taipei…no thanks.

Hey, don’t blame me, I was just citing jdsmith

Walker shouldn’t win because he has no place in politics, zero leadership skills.

The GOP’s Red Trickle Thread @Mr_PBH

That would be like Trump blaming Melania for Oz’s loss (unlikely story).

You said it so you own it.

Not really unlikely, as he has treated his partners in his life like dirt pretty consistently…Ivana Trump ring a bell?

It’s like dealing with Charlie Brown and Lucy. Guess who is Charlie Brown and who is Lucy?

I’m kind of watching from the sidelines and saying “Charlie Brown, don’t you know that’s Lucy and don’t you know what happens next?”

That would be something positive imo if she lost.

Especially since that wasn’t even the story!

218 is the number needed. Hearing zero complaints of vote tampering or intimidation or any other scary thing the media went on aboot before Election Day.

Just chillin.

Awww, too bad is wasn’t last year. CNN would have picked them up.

how unlikely is it if it’s phrased like this, eh? That Borowitz really nails it sometimes.
Trump Claims Melania Supported Oz Because She Is Attracted to Men Who Are Unfit to Govern’

It stunk of left leaning loony shit because it followed the thinking of how the left thinks not how Trump thinks.

Trumps first thought process would be to blame the Democrats for cheating. That thought process doesn’t exist for the likes of Acosta. In fact there would be a long list of those to blame before he even got to the candidate including Mitch McConnell.

That’s why I said those who swallowed this story hook line and sinker had disengaged their critical thinking.

That’s not to say it couldn’t have happened, Trump stomping and screaming around Mar a Largo like a five year old. Just sounds more likely that’s the kind of bullshit Acosta and Haberman put out every day, it’s right up their street.

Lest we not forget it was Maggie Haberman who won a Pulitzer for her non stop reporting on the fake Russia collusion bullshit. They give each other prizes now for being the best bullshit artist. Those who reported it was bullshit from the beginning weren’t even acknowledged.

But the fake world with fake news is more appealing to some I guess. It is actually discussed in Mass formation psychosis, which would include those with trump derangement syndrome. They don’t care if something is true or not. Which is why no critical thinking exists.

Acosta and Haberman are like Lucy from Charlie Brown, their hot bullshit from “sources” is the ball. I’m sure you can figure out the rest.

Just turned on CNN for Wolf Blitzer to tell me to stay tuned for more about “election night” coverage. We’re on day 6 now.
