For the kindle and case, 1400NT
Kindle is working hard to get customers. Are they available anywhere in Taiwan? Never seen them in shops.
I’m a Kobo ereader user.

It shouldn’t be hard to get a Kindle. I see a lot of bus signs now use E paper based screens.
E Ink is a Taiwanese company, in the Hsinchu science park
I dont see the relevance to buying a Kindle in Taiwan though

The devices are likely made here or in China.
I think made by Foxconn in China, but the E-ink panels are from Taiwan.

Yahoo Taiwan has them from 3600 to 12k depending on the model.

I’m just curious as becoming more interested in moving to Kindle from Kobo.
For only one reason.
Kindle translate entire phrases, sentences, paragraphs, from Chinese to English and Kobo only translates one word at a time.
Kindle can handle chinese ebooks?
I like my Kobo so much better than my Kindle. Is this even necessary? If your goal is learning/improving Chinese, isn’t translating words enough?
Can’t it? Kobo can.
No it’s not the necessary, but an attractive feature. I also love my Kobo.
