And then there is the use of the word “like.” My wife and I went to San Francisco for CNY. It seems that nearly everybody there uses “like” as some sort of punctuation to be inserted between every word.

I hate it when I see and hear the word ‘persons’ where the word ‘people’ would have been a fine choice. Dude, we already have a plural for ‘person’ and that word is PEOPLE.
