I usually cook for Christmas, but am unable to do so this year. What are your recommendations for the best place to take a family out for Christmas dinner in Taipei? We prefer to stay away from pubs. I already know about Frank’s BBQ. It is not on our list of options. Other ideas? Thank you, Tomas

I guess we’ve probably left it too late but can anyone reccomend a restaurant for Christmas dinner in Taipei? Anywhere would be ok, as long as it’s good food and plenty of drinks available.

To all the restaurateurs out there, I’m wondering which of the eateries that cater to the foreign crowd are planning on having special meals for the Christmas holidays. Specifically, I’m looking to book a table for a group of about a dozen for Christmas Eve, so if anyone knows of a place that will be offering a turkey dinner, a holiday buffet, or anything having to do with the usual Western or European holiday fare, let me know. Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner

Already overwhelmed with the search and the options. Any suggestions? Dine-in, not take-home. Buffet with alcohol would be ideal (my Thanksgiving away from home when I lived in China was a buffet at a brewery – it was a good time). If not, that’s okay. Interested in a range of prices. Please let me know your experiences! (For the curious, I have been looking at Carnegie’s, Amba, Pig and Pepper. The Grand Hyatt is intriguing but probably way too expensive…)

We usually order a take-out turkey, but this year my friends and I are looking for something like a hotel Christmas buffet. On December 25th, about 20 of us. Any recommendations? We have some options for restaurant 3- course meal deals, but I’m kinda hoping for a no-holds barred eat-fest. I get Saturday off this year and I can’t believe it…

Xmas turkey dinner (cooked)?

My family’s going for On Tap’s offerings this year. Had to pay a deposit to reserve a spot. But if that doesn’t impress us we may try Brass Monkey next year (I’m optimistic). I also noticed the Marriott’s restaurant has a meal of some sort going. It’s a buffet except on the 24th and 25th, where it’s a set Christmas meal.
