Now Iā€™m even more confused.
Or does ā€œthe flobā€ mean a temporary situation?

Itā€™s okay. Stay out of IP and Covid-related threads and youā€™ll get back to normal.
Flob = taiwan. Others may know its origins.

Heā€™s right. I barely survived.

Some TomHill.

ā€œflobā€ seems to be an old-fashioned (insider) name for forumosa.

Iā€™m not ancient enough to know the roots, but there seemed to have been an URL like ā€œflob.meā€ā€¦ which might have been the source of this term, or it might not.

Actually, the URL is still there. Wow.

Maybe some enterprising member needs to start printing TShirts with FLOB emblazoned across the front, distributed (for a fee) to the Regulars so we can wear them (or maybe not!!) when we go out.

One question: is half a flob better or worse than half a chub?
